Having been plunged in at the deep end I was handed Healds contact details by a colleague who had used the firm for "40 years".
The very first call I made I was put directly through to the right person who agreed to see me instantly. My mind was put at ease and they waisted no time in getting stuck in.
From start to finish I can confidently say that, employing Heald to act on my behalf was the wisest move I could have made.
I thank the whole team for their speed, straight forward approach and no nonsense business.

A simple dispute that could have easily reached a speedy resolution turned into a nightmare.

We sort reimbursement for a defective build 15k inc the vat. Tom Silverwood Cope acted for the defending party. Despite copious amounts of reports and correspondence the defending party failed to accept any form of responsibility. We had warned they would lose as expert reports clearly demonstrated our build was not fit for purpose.

A simple 15k claim turned into a 70k payment plus 20k legals. £75k over!!!

Tom was just too aggressive in his approach and very cocky with it. He is out of date in his style of communicating. More like an aggressive divorce lawyer/whining child. He has much to learn about construction.

He had countless offers to settle at 15k but for reasons known only to him chose not to. The claim was persued due to this guys over zealous communication. He was, in short a bully. It was more like his own personal fight than that of the clients.

The only winner here was Tom Silverwood Copes professional fees not the clients pocket.

We employed a great Barrister that ran rings round this guy. Hardwicke Chambers in London are the best for any form of construction dispute. Up to date and current.
Wholly professional and very bright.

If you need representation for construction disputes avoid, unless your pockets are very deep indeed.
