I contacted Jonathan regarding a Restrictive Covenant on our house and he provided me with some very helpful advice on how to liaise with the Freeholder who has not approved the works we wish to carry out as they are of the view that it is in breach of the Restrictive Covenant. The initial advice was free and this proved to be very helpful as it gave us an understanding of what the legal issues are around challenging or modifying such covenants and the process involved in doing this.

BEWARE! Crofts were recommended by my contract lawyer who I still work with. After a brief conversation with Jonathan Kenwright, I instructed him to deal with the matter. I was given advice which I paid for in full. However, I was disappointed with both the service and advice that I was given by the fee earner. So I deintructed Crofts and hired an alternative lawyer. I had asked to speak to the senior partner to discuss my complaint and an appointment to speak to Rupert Croft was confirmed. However, Mr Croft instead stated his firm's position via email and cancelled our meeting without speaking to me. I put this encounter down to experience and moved on. I was shocked today to receive a letter from Rupert Croft threatening to sue me for defamation based on a negative review that had been posted by a someone else. He accused me of writing this review based on his opinion that no-one else had ever complained! His letter was aggressive and threatening and has caused me a great deal of distress. Had I not been falsely accused by Rupert Croft of writing an earlier negative review and threated with legal action if I did not pay his firm compensation I would not have taken the time to write this. My experience with Crofts has been negative the bullying I have been subjected to today is, in my opinion, unprofessional I would not recommend this firm.
