I have known Nick Hutchings for 10 years, since we met at the local gym in Wokingham and struck up a friendship. I followed Nick Hutchings to Rockwealth after he moved from another firm. That decision was never in doubt, because Nick is a key figure in my life who has helped me through the stressful financial changes of retirement, and who gives me great confidence in future planning as I get older. Together we consider issues like inheritance, potential care costs, different ways of saving/investing, and the big one - "How much money will I need to sustain the rest of my life?"
But Nick doesn't only give me advice - he has also taught me so much about how to "see" money; I've had a major education about all this in the last few years and can even talk knowledgeably now myself about bonds, equities and annuities (etc) and other stuff that used to terrify me! There are moments when I hear Nick's voice in my ear advising me "not to let the tax tail wag the dog" and other Nick "chestnuts". 🙂 The confidence this has given me has been transformative, and knowing he would be there for my family if anything happened to me, gives me great peace of mind.
I should also of course say that before I followed Nick to Rockwealth I spent time absorbing their website and, particularly, their values and approach. I liked what I saw very much. With Nick/Rockwealth I feel in very safe hands. Thank you!
