Really decent place. Me and a friend wereTravelling through the town & needed a place to stay at late notice. |Owner was happy to accommodate us cheaply. Staff were considerate and more than helpful. We found everyone very friendly and would be more than happy to stay again when in the area. ||Thanks

No social distancing in bar.||Locals illegally lined up at bar ordering drinks.||Language of customers foul.||Landlady / bar maid had no control of the clientele and did nothing to stop the language or ask them to socially distance. ||Charged £110 for small room for two of us with no breakfast and no wifi (In fact told us the wifi was not free)||The room was clean but small, small double bed, and very basic. No table lamps, no biscuits with tea and coffee. ||We only stayed the one night as we managed to get the other two nights we needed at The Miners a couple of miles up the road where we paid £75 a night for two of us with a beautiful cooked breakfast, as well as the normal fruit, toast and cereal. Unfortunately they were full on the Friday night which is why we had to stay here.||In the Miners the room was huge with a king size bed, two arm chairs and a lovely bathroom. Plus biscuits with the tea and coffee, plus a very nice freebie which went down well!||We will never stay here again and definitely would not recommend.

Went in to play pool and within being in there about 5 minutes we got asked to leave because we had not ordered any drinks by the owners wife who wasy very rude were planning on staying and ordering drinks we were just getting settled wouldn't have minded ifasked politely If we were going to buy drinks but were pretty much told to f off . Ended up staying longer but no mixers on tap, the cola and lemonade out of plastic bottles were flat and warm. The owners queries were understandable but there is no need to shout unprovoked and be rude to customers intending to buy drinks! Especially when your business is slow and the pub wasn't even half full. Local to the village and preferred it when the Irish owners were there.

Rooms are clean, but very small bathroom and very basic . No Wifi either. But by far the worst thing is the Pub downstairs is very Noisey until late at night, with loud music, shouting and singing. With no sound insulation make it impossible to get to sleep until the Pub shuts. Week days it doesn't go quite until 11:30pm, but weekends it doesn't until 02:00am :0(. Dont know how the owners can take money from paying guests when the rooms are so noisey until late in the night. Stayed here on business, would of been very angry if I had payed for this myself for a Holiday !!. Dont like giving bad reviews, but people need to know what they are going to get !!.Cant comment on Food as no food was available whilst I was there.

I've only visited this pub once while staying at a friends. We came to a tribute night, as the only English person in the room I came with Welsh friends, I was made very welcome and had a really good night. I'd definitely return whenever in Wales

Beautiful location and friendly, accommodating staff.

I stayed for 2 nights; there was coffee, the lavatory had hot water, and I had no problems whatsoever.

Very good pub, played pool and good jukebox, went for Dad's birthday and owner bought him a birthday drink, would definitely recommend

I do love coming to this lil pub, especially when it's warm and you can sit out the back with a cold drink to quench your thirst
