Jan and Peter are fantastic hosts. So friendly and the room we stayed in was cosy and clean. Bed was super comfy too and we loved the views of their beautiful garden. Breakfast was delicious, so much thought had gone into it as my partner and I are vegan. Pete kindly gave us a lift back to the station which was very kind. We will definitely be back. Amazing location too with The Swan and the Redwing restaurants within walking distance

Lovely b&b run by lovely people in a lovely village, what more can I say? Jan and Peter were wonderful hosts. After a long travel day, Pete came up to the train station and picked us up so we did not have to find our way in the dark. They then booked us in at the pub for supper and Pete walked us down. The house and breakfast were wonderful. We definitely hope to be back!

Echoing other reviews, Jan and Pete are great hosts, Friendly and welcoming, nothing feels too much trouble. We enjoyed three nights here.||||The room and en-suite are spacious and clean with a view over the gardens. Breakfast in the conservatory is a treat. A platter of fresh fruit, juice and perfectly poached eggs on home made bread. Each day Jan has a 'special' which on our last day included smoked salmon and avocado. ||||Withall's is in the centre of Lympstone, yet set up a short hill to afford peace and quiet. Minutes away from the Exe cycle/waking path and the station. Also a short walk to The Redwing pub, a must when visiting.

Right from making the booking Jan & Pete were very welcoming with excellent communication. ||||I received a really warm welcome on arrival. The house location is picturesque and the local village of Lympstone is so beautifully Devon - if you dont know it take a scenic walk and enjoy one of the local pubs. ||||The ensuite room was really nice and very comfortable. ||||Breakfast was one of the best I have had in either B&B or hotel, all local produce wonderfully cooked along with homemade bread and preserves and pleasant (but never intrusive) company - I did not want to leave the table! ||||I was attending a very special reunion and the welcome, room and service at the Witalls made the weekend all the better.||||Very highly recommended for the gregarious welcome, location, high standard of accommodation, service and breakfast - all in all fantastic value.

Jan and Pete are extremely welcoming hosts. We visited for a local wedding and they couldn't help enough. Fabulous selection for breakfast. Great location to visit Devon, Lympstone is a beautiful village and The Swan pub is walking distance and does fabulous food.

It was perfect...love the style of the house. Hosts were very welcoming and their dogs were so well behaved.

Stays for 2 nights while visiting friends. Great location. Train in the village means easy access to surrounding areas.
Very welcoming hosts and beautiful breakfast in the conservatory watching the bitds in their gorgeous garden. Highly recommended!
