I've used 5-10 different solicitors over the past 5 years for different things. They often start good and then their standards drop. Over that time I've found it's nigh on impossible to find a solicitor that puts things in terms non solicitors would understand, instead often hiding behind law jargon that doesn't mean anything to anyone unless you've studied law for 10 years.

Then I came across Olivia at Wilkin Chapman. She has been fantastic from day one. Reasonably priced, efficient, great at communication, updates us without being chased, doesn't get into needles arguments with the other side and talks in plain terms that normal humans will understand.

Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Absolutely terrible experience with Wilkin Chapman's debt collectors. They're demanding nearly £6,000 for utility bills, but half of it isn't even mine! They're trying to charge me for periods when I wasn't even living at the property anymore!

When I asked for basic proof of what I supposedly owe, they sent back vague, dismissive responses ignoring most of my questions. Their "evidence" is a joke - they mention some mysterious "site visits" and "meter migrations" that never happened, at least not with my knowledge.

The worst part? They keep threatening court action without providing ANY proper documentation. When pressed about charges, they literally said there's "no breakdown" available. Really? You're a law firm demanding thousands but can't explain your own fees?

They seem to operate on pure intimidation. Send scary letters, ignore legitimate questions, and hope people just pay up out of fear. Classic bully tactics.

If you get contacted by these people, don't panic - demand REAL documentation and don't accept their vague answers. They're likely charging you for other people's usage or making up fees. Absolute cowboys who seem more interested in squeezing money out of people than following proper debt collection procedures.

Still waiting for them to explain why I'm being billed for 17 months AFTER I moved out. Shameful practice from a so-called professional firm.

I was contacted by this solicitors firm that consider themselves experts in business & personal law, requesting that I settle a debt that had been paid almost a year ago. This as one might expect caused unnecessary stress and upset, simply because the solicitor handling my case did not conduct her initial enquiries prior to contacting me. Wasting both mine, her clients and her own time as well as her clients money.

I am beyond disappointed and sickened to the deepest part of my soul and shocked that this solicitors firm is still in operation when they fall down at the very first stage of evidence collection.

I ask before you choose this solicitors firm that you evaluate the other choices available to you before you allow them to waste your money and time on poorly thought out procedures.

I sincerely hope to never come across this company again.

I trusted in the employment team to advise me during a 1 hour call. I was tricked and stung for 4 hours, charging me for notes I didn’t ask for, that were presented as a helpful extra touch. I was completely ripped off as it was obvious I was a small business owner new to legal fees and I thought I was booking one hour. They would not budge and I had to pay it!! Be very careful here

Taking over 3 weeks to reply to an email. Unresponsive and not interested in helping the customer. My house sale has been on hold for 4 months , because of Linden homes and Wilkin chapman who are representing them. Pure and utter incompetence. A simple query starting mid-October is yet to be resolved, but the delay in replying to emails or phone calls is really a low point.

Excellent service received throughout the purchase of my new home. Having dealt with several solicitors I found Wilkin Chapman to be professional, competent and most importantly, proactive which certainly helped the process along. Big thumbs up from me.
