Really rude staff. The receptionists sometimes have an attitude and you feel that you can’t ask questions- they even talk over you. They do not support you or advocate for you and do not advise you with regards to the law it’s as if they don’t know the law itself. Avoid if you want warm, competent and professional legal support!! There are better law firms and ALWAYS look at google reviews you have other options.

Unfortunately, as first time buyers we had a very negative experience with Watson Woodhouse Middlesbrough.
There was never any communication whatsoever from Watson Woodhouse any update or communication was due to us calling them ( often several times) or the estate agents chasing them. Our solicitor Richard ignored literally every single email we sent him in regards to any questions or updates. He did not respond to one email.
The only direct contact Richard had with us was to send us our forms that we had to print ourselves, and even in this email he had not sent us our mortgage deed ( which he said was attatched and it wasn’t) and when I emailed straight back asking for it I was once again ignored and had to chase this up myself
Whenever we rang the office, Julie who spoke to us was so unbelievably rude to me every time. At one point, when I asked for an update and they said they were waiting for the sellers solicitors ( which was not true) I rang again and Julie actually loudly sighed and said ‘ right? And?’ I couldn’t believe the way this woman was speaking to me and it made me very anxious to phone and ask for updates, even though we are the ones paying them.

Never again will I go with these solicitors, they made what is supposed to be a very exciting chapter in our lives unnecessarily stressful and handled everything extremely unprofessionally.

Extremely disappointed with the service. They are incredibly slow and lack professionalism. There is no sense of responsibility in handling cases, and communication is almost non-existent. I would not recommend them at all.

Don’t stick to the appointment times they say they’ll ring you.. then the receptionist has a snotty attitude and puts the phone down on you. Disgrace

Absolutely useless, advertising they deal with housing law so you call them ,get put on hold numerous times.Then after wasting 30 minutes on the phone to them the charmless individual says it's nothing we can deal with..OK so why are you advertising you deal with housing law your on the law society list for that...Absolutely useless never spoke to a solicitor just a receptionist who deals with admin...Your lucky I gave you one star..

Really helpful. I was out of area but if not I would have used this company as the woman I spoke to could not have been more helpful or knowledgeable. She offered me names of other solicitors that may be able to assist. It is a shame I do not live closer.

Don't bother with Darlington or Middlesbrough offices! They deal with TEWVS suicide deaths but don't care for the living who were abused by staff who have Factitious Disorder Imposed on Another. They deal with historic abuse but not NHS abuse. They deal with Police cases but won't allow you to add further information which you hadn't yet given them - half baked affair then! So much neglect avoided and done.
