Absolutely terrible representation from Carol Mcdonald. Failed to notify me of my rights to certain appeals within the family courts, and lied on multiple occasions with detrimental effect on innocent children.

I will certainly not be recommending this solicitor. They had me moved from Northern Ireland. I am British. So they have caused over £2m of public money to be used. As a financial analyst, I am well qualified to assess this. They never believed that I did nothing. They allowed me to be jailed for a few pieces of paper.

Do not seek help from Carol McDonald, most unprofessional promised several things in writing and did not follow through on any. Poor advice given and often used “covid” as the excuse not to provide documentation or court recordings. Asked me to sign many papers referring to family law without any explanation, I did so putting my trust in her that she was working for me not against me.

This firm attempted to stop me from seeing my children, when there was no child protection order or any other kind of court order in place preventing me from seeing my children. I have since reported their conduct to the Law society as they do not have any rights to stop a father from seeing their children, only a court of law has!

It would be my opinion, given their conduct to avoid this firm at all costs!!

We approached this company regarding a legal matter relating to my terminally ill mother Mrs McGladdery and, having paid for their services, were promised and assured that the matter would be looked into and dealt with. This was in 2016 and the company did nothing, subsequently my mother has now passed away.

I wrote several letters to the solicitor overseeing the case, these were sent using registered post and I have confirmation that they were received. As the result of a complete lack of response, I have since written to the senior partner, Mr. Walker, who responded stating "...we will revert to you within the next 10 days". The date of his response was the 26th February 2019, nearly three months ago, and I have heard nothing since.

Tired with having to continually write to a company who appear to have no care for their clients and who choose not to respond, especially given the limited timeframe that we were faced with when we initiated the case, I have now decided that I no longer wish to expend my energy and time in writing any further letters, instead choosing to write this review in the hope that it serves as a warning to anyone wishing to use the services of Walker McDonald solicitors.

The slogan for the company 'solicitors you can depend on' is a misrepresentation of the experience that I endured, following on from the false hope and promises that they made to me and to my dying mother.
