I would expect a Law company to have professional standards sadly this is something UKC Legal is lacking.
5 months to finalise the “Searches”, what were you doing for the first 4 months - incredibly slow and useless.
7 months to complete a property transaction, the “Exchange of Contracts and Completion” dates were cancelled on 2 occasions due to the solicitor not requesting the funds from the mortgage provider and an ISA trust. Removal firms had to be cancelled and deposits were lost due to the solicitor’s negligence to do the job properly.
You would expect that the solicitor would know how the basics work of buying a property; you need the funds in place to buy a property.
Due to all the delays and lack of communication from the assigned solicitor we decided to research the solicitor only to find that the solicitor is not based at XYZ Law in Dewsbury but is the founder of UKC Legal and is based in Norwich and is part of the DJF solicitors group. From that information is appears that XYZ Law have outsourced the work to UKC Legal.

Stephen is such a reliable knowledgeable and approachable solicitor. We've just recently completed a very difficult house purchase through Stephen who was amazingly supportive and professional. Although very stressful few days as on the date of completion as per contract the mortgage lender refused to release their funds, Stephen helped us to liaise with the lender and broker back and forth. Due to the mortgage lender's terrible acts we got into breach of contract territory, which any house buyer would be horrified. However Stephen helped us to explain to the sellers so we would not have to pay any penalty for the few days we delayed in completion.
