Needed an insurance that would cover more than 1 service being offered by my partners solo trader business.
Couldn’t find another company who would offer more than one service to be covered, so while these other companies were slightly cheaper I would have had to have taken out 3 separate policies. So it made this quote a no brainer at £10 more pa.
Sensible questions and easy to fill in via smart phone.
Buying policy was nice and easy.
Email within 1 minute confirming policy bought.
Once he had opened his account and clicked verify email and completed this step his policy documents were all there ready for him to send to his clients.
Saved it to PDF local storage.
A doddle, obviously not tested any claims procedure and here’s hoping he doesn’t have to.

AVOID AVOID AVOID VERY EXPENSIVE

Was a customer for years. You get no respect from them for your loyalty, in fact they penalise you for been loyal client.
Never made a claim as I am highly trained Engineer and very very careful. I informed them that I don’t use hot soldering when joining pipe work and that I use top of the range pressing machines and that made no difference to them. They ignored that and send me expensive quote of just under £400 which felt like a kick in the stomach.
Year after year they jacked up the renewal quotes badly.

Every year they sent a much much higher renewal quote.

Tradesman Saver's insurance price has been consistently reasonable for me for the last 8 years. I find the Statement of Fact document poor with regards to:
1) Some of the explanations eg under Declaration, and in Financial Loss Extension, Exceptions (very unclear!)
2) Formatting eg Tools and Business Equipment is a separate section BUT is not shown as that on the Statement
3) Categories in Policy Endorsement eg Flats are not mentioned in the list of acceptable work areas
However, the pleasant and helpful lady on the phone assured me all was well, and I've gone ahead for another year, but I haven't tested their performance if I need to claim, so fingers crossed...

I have used this company for many years but I was surprised that they cancelled my current insurance after I turned off automatic renewal. It turns out that if you block their access to my bank account, they cancel your current insurance.

Great customer service, and easy to speak to someone on the phone. The staff have genuine knowledge about their products, and are very helpful explaining what is included in the cover.
I would recommend tradesman saver to anyone who wants very reasonably priced, good quality cover, provided from a great company with fantastic staff.
