We missed the ceremony. Improperly signed. The post code leads to the bottom of the hill. My father in law is an amputee. The disabled entrance is paved by gravel larger than the wheels on his chair. My wife was in floods of tears. The six donut stands are more important than a wedding.

If you don’t want a church wedding or an over the top venue wedding then this is the ideal place. Great location especially in the summer and still pretty nice in the winter. Run by an excellent team who make your day even more memorable.

Giving notice at Paignton for our wedding at Cockington was a joy, the lady who helped us complete the formalities was simply marvellous.
We were so excited to finally get married at the beautiful Cockington Court.
However the day itself brought mixed feelings, the atmosphere of which was felt by all of us. I've been told by my Groom and guests that they received no help in setting up the wedding music and they had to ask for the Bluetooth speaker.
Our photographer who has worked at many weddings at CC was given strict instructions on what he could and couldn't do, which was heard by my guests over the eventually connected 'waiting' music. He had never had this before.
On arrival (I was early) the nerves had kicked in, and I was desperate for the loo, the Registrar was very reluctant to let me go, saying we'd be late - how desperate was I? Could I not wait until after?!! I felt like I was in Primary School not a grown woman - it was embarrassing!!
The deputy Registrar who was absolutely lovely - looked horrified.
My photographer was read the rules yet again, only in front of me and my Dad this time..... I really felt for him, it certainly tainted the anticipation.
The ceremony passed quickly and aside from the lovely poem read by the Registrar, felt a little soulless. After we were pronounced husband and wife, kissed etc - the Registrars walked out of the room, no 'be upstanding' or round of applause etc, just that's it, pop out when you're done?!
What an anti climax eh? I mean yes, we were now legally married and over the moon with this - but where was the usual celebratory parting? Our photographer had never encountered this and missed out on what would have been some lovely shots.
If I could have the day again I'd see about having a different Registrar, one who has a little more people skills and understands that this is an epic day for people - the little things really do matter.

We got married here in August this year.
It was nice, but it could do with a fresh coat of paint and new display flowers for the room. The 2 ladies in attendance was very nice.
