I don't like to leave negative reviews but dealing with TMT has been such a disaster I feel there is no choice.

I dealt with TMT for the conveyancing on both the sale of my old flat, and the buying of a new flat from a developer.

The flat I was purchasing was though a developer TMT have a partnership so naturally this went through smoother than the selling process. Even here, advice received was often contradictory, for example the same document said i needed to sort out home insurance, and then a few lines further down, said it wasn't necessary. I asked the question in what something called a ransom line was, and received the answer "the ransom line is marked clearly on the map" - multiple times answers received seemed like they were to totally different questions asked.

The conveyancing for the sale was nothing short of a nightmare. At one point the estate agent sent a letter to TMT begging them to do some of the conveyancing, as nothing was happening, and myself and the estate agent were doing all of the work TMT had been paid to do. They seemed totally disinterested here, missed things that had been sent, and took weeks to act on documents they were sent, to the extent the buyer nearly dropped out as they were so fed up with the time everything was taking.

I often phoned the person dealing with the case to ask for updates, every time I rang I was told they were "in a meeting" but would phone back by the end of the day. They never once phoned back.

With the flat purchase, i informed TMT i was borrowing the money and would need a mortgage to pay this money back that I borrowed. On applying for a mortgage, i was told there were applications at land registry against this property preventing my mortgage from being issues for 2 - 3 years. Everyone i have spoken to, including legal experts, have said TMT should have flagged this as part of basic conveyancing. I am now in the impossible situation of owing hundreds of thousands of pounds, and not being able to access a mortgage to pay this off. I will say that Jillian Kness has at least kept in touch with me over this, something no one else from TMT has done throughout the process dealing with them.

Others on the new development I live on all reported similar issues with TMT so I know its not just myself being unlucky here.

Most often selling/moving home is often described as the most stressful experience, however our experience was made relatively stress-free, thanks to TMT. I have used solicitors for conveyancing a few times and each time there have been frustrations in delays and lack of communication. I got none of that with TMT and they were on it. Unfortunately the buyers convenyancing team were not as good but TMT were all over the process.
