In 2011 I went in to Thomas Watson to make a first offer of 57,000 on a flat that was listed for £65,000. He wasn't in branch, but his staff phoned him and then handed me the phone so I could tell him the offer myself. When I did he got immediately angry, swore at me and told me he wouldn't be passing the offer on. I was just totally shocked and embarrassed. I was there with my girlfriend and I didn't know what to tell her when I hung up the phone, I hadn't expected that reaction at all and it seemed just totally unacceptable and almost surreal. I ended up driving past that flat on my way to work from the house I purchased a few months later. It was amusing to see it still for sale every day, and then listed for sale by another agency a few months later. Google reviews weren't a thing at the time, but something reminded me of this today and I thought it would be good to share incase it prevents someone else having a similar unfortunate experience.

He give the valuation which he said that's the maximum and you will

An offer was made on the house within 4 hours of going online
We accepted an offer,which if we had went with Thomas Watson

Thomas is very amiable and friendly. After nearly two years on their books we part ex'd because they hadn't sold it. They were fine with this.
We feel they could have helped us more by doing open houses and house of the week promotions - nothing was offered.
Once Thomas' initial contact was finished - we didn't have much contact.
Thomas spoke to us when we moved and acknowledged they could have done more.
They seem like an honest family firm who we went to on a recommendation. I think we dropped off their radar but they were reasonable to deal with.

Both my wife and I have been hugely impressed with the service from Thomas Watson. Although we sadly lost out to a high bidder on a property in Seaburn, their customer service from start to end was brilliant. They kept us fully informed, and went about the whole process in a very professional manner. We're still looking for a house, and sadly had to deal with a few other estate agents who don't even come close to offering this level of service. I wouldn't hesitate to buy or sell a house with these guys. Keep it up!

Great communication at all times from Thomas, his finding were explained during a call, we also received a full detailed report, I found him extremely diligent.

We initially were not going to get a survey, however, our solicitor encouraged us to do so, I am so glad he did! Our solicitor recommended Thomas Watson.

The issues Thomas picked up on could have hit our pockets hard the report helped greatly to confidently lower our offer, I am ever so grateful for his help with our survey, he picked up on issues we overlooked

As our request for a survey was done at the 11th hour, time was of a matter of importance and Thomas did not disappoint, from beginning to end our survey was handled with utmost professionalism and quality.
