Great choice of food. Bar snacks, 3 for £12, very generous portions. We shared 6 between 4 of us, leaving room for mini pudding and a hot drink, which were definitely not 'mini'. Friendly welcome and excellent service. Fairly quiet after 7pm on a Thursday.

Great meal this evening. As always the staff are amazing. Izzy, Maddy and Kelly were lovely to speak to, they are always very welcoming. Service was quick and food was great. Shout out to Dave and Laura in the kitchen who smash the food every time!

We visited during short trip to the area and visited The Sovereign as it was close to our house and offered a good menu with lots of variety. We booked ahead in case but on a Wednesday evening the restaurant was quiet.
The team of Izzy, Maddy and Ebony was very welcoming and our orders arrived quickly but without feeling rushed. The food was well-cooked and presented and the menu offered plenty of choice. Portion sizes were generous without being overwhelming.
Overall we felt very welcomed by the friendly team and would be keen to return if in the area again

We went for dinner in The Sovereign during our summer stay in nearby. The food was delicious (cooked by Dave & Kelly) and well presented, crew (Ellie & Ebony) friendly, interior make you fell warm. The only small draw back was limited beer selection.
Anyway, if we are around, we will be back to eat there again.

After a long hot afternoon golfing ,and having been turned away by a couple of other pubs who had finished serving, we arrived at The Sovereign on Sunday evening to the warmest of welcomes. The staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. We ordered drinks, everything was very relaxed. Our food arrived in no time, exactly what we ordered. All well presented and very fresh and tasty. We had two Sunday lunches, and my son had a steak , beautifully cooked. Well done everyone. You made these customers very happy !

Visted Tuesday lunchtime friendly service from the 2 ladies on. They directed us to the new menu option that they had on which we will definitely try next time but had the firm favourite of the fishcakes. We also used the app which has some great offers

We love meeting our family here for delicious food great service & a homely atmosphere
The menu covers something for every taste proper food perfect sized portions perfectly cooked
I love the duo of lamb, but the steak is beautiful & my daughter loved her mac& cheese.
We followed that up with banoffee pie it was amazing.
So if your looking for a nice spot for a meal while on your travels around here then pop in .
Better still book a table in advance & avoid disappointment, i can promise you will enjoy you visit either way
