Recommended by locals because it is somewhat secluded on a hill in a picturesque location next to an old church with a cemetery, the Red Lion, which its name and exterior would suggest is a pub, turns out to be a fancy restaurant with creative cuisine that could easily earn a Michelin star and even offers vegetarian options. The cosy atmosphere and extremely attentive staff justify the slightly higher prices.

Absolutely brilliant food, on a par with some fine dining restaurants in London.

It however must be remembered that this is a public house and serves walkers etc and people popping in for a beer (or three).

There is also an outside area with pods and a pizza stove, all in all it’s heaven to me.

Excellent beer as well!😃

Me and my partner came for dinner after a long hike. Had a fantastic meal. top quality food and experience. We ended up with taxi issues and the landlords made a real effort to help and accommodate. Very grateful and we will be back! Thanks again.

Ate here in November with my OH. Food was absolutely delicious and good value. Service was excellent and the place is just a warm, friendly place to enjoy a meal. My brother has just got my parents a voucher for here as a Christmas present. Can totally recommend.

I can only comment on Sunday roast which was top notch! It was generous portions, perfectly cooked I had the beef and my wife had chicken. We both very much enjoyed and left very full and happy. The inn is very quirky and cosy, yet airy. It has a very professional branding style. Would definitely come back. It was not cheap but was quality. Service was attentive and quick, had our 5 minute check. I Would recommend booking, we booked a week in advance. Not sure how easy it would be to get a table just turning up. Music was nice and relaxing.

Beautiful pub with very traditional decor and a fantastic beer garden out back with a converted shipping container selling pizza as well as their own food inside. The staff were very pleasant and the food was absolutely amazing!! Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

We visited here last night to try out the wood fired pizza 🍕 it did not disappoint 👌 the pizza was so tasty 😋 and the cheesy chips! Will definitely be back for more! 😃

After a fantastic tour at the Penderyn distillery, we decided to have lunch at the Red Lion Inn. Our luck put us by the cozy fireplace, and the dishes we ordered were not only visually appealing but also incredibly delicious.
This charming, centuries-old country pub is nestled on a quaint country road, offering a warm and inviting atmosphere. The friendly staff served us with a smile, and we savored every bite of our meal, knowing it was made from locally sourced ingredients. The menu featured a variety of drink options to complement the flavorful dishes.
While some might find a few menu items a tad on the pricey side, I personally believe that the superior quality of the food, combined with the delightful ambiance, justifies the cost. An excellent choice for those who appreciate good food in a delightful setting.
