Rude, unresponsive and badly organised. Took 5 months to get into my place as a first time buyer with no chain. Was passed between 3 separate solicitors. Any phone calls were met with 'in a meeting'. Which is corporate for we don't care about you. I was one person with my small purchase, and I was made to feel like second class to them.

Never any apologies, just dry emails and blaming the slow service on a flu outbreak. I had to threaten to turn up on their doorstep and be told face to face what was going on. 20 minutes later all my searches magically came through, after waiting 3 months.

Don't waste your time or money.

After being scared witless, completely confused by another solicitor, and not usually being prone to be afraid in these matters, I was referred to David Small at Owen Kenny. Even when I contacted him, I was already expecting a huge bill and a lengthy, stressful divorce and settlement. However, within a few minutes, David's reassuring and confident manner convinced me not to feel the constant dread I'd felt. I needed to get on with the matter in hand. The truth is, it didn't take long at all, and his pearls of wisdom that ensured that would be the case were invaluable in getting a sensible, calm and fair resolution.

All in all, it was an excellent experience. We cannot blame lawyers for the muck we get into and need them to help bale us out of it. That said, some don't help themselves by feeding off our deep worries and our bank accounts.

In closing, I'd suggest anyone contact Owen Kenny on any legal matter because when integrity is present, you know whoever you'll end up dealing with will have integrity too, and that is what really counts. Thank you, David Small; you and your staff are rare commodities. I felt extremely vulnerable when I came to you, but what you achieved on my behalf completely changed my life and legally ended 20 years of great misery. The bonus was that it only took a few weeks. I hope I never have to speak with you again, but thanks a million for who you are and what you are.
