Made my mother cry in the shop. She had already paid for her shoe repair when she dropped off the shoes. He then charged her again when she went to pick them up. She told him she had already paid and he refused to give her back the shoes until she paid again. She left the shop in tears. Avoid this rude man and very very poor service.

Excellent customer service and lovely shop! I popped in on Monday after my shoe broke while at work, on the off chance they might be able to do a quick repair. The gentleman fixed it in no time and to a better standard than it was before. I will be sure to return in the future and recommend! Thank you.

Just popped in to see if I could get the heels done on a pair of my wife shoes just before we go into Lockdown MKII. Had a quick look and 'Yep, no problem' Helpful, friendly and did a great job there and then as I waited!
I would suggest this business has changed hands since the comments about rudeness! Very reasonably priced too I thought. He also has a range of lovely hi class products in the shop ie wallets, belts bags etc,

Rude. Unhelpful. I asked his advise on repairing a vintage Coach leather hand bag, and recoloring a pair of shoes. Though his shop was empty he didn't have the time of day for me or my enquirers. When I asked about the handbag, he took a look at it and said I could give it a try, when I asked if he was sure he could do it, as he sounded less than confident, he seemed to take offence and said well in that case I would rather not bother. In the shoe recoloring department, I should say that this is something that I have had done by cobblers in the USA many times, he just pointed to a display of shoe polish (five basic colors), and said 'I don't have time for that, you can do it yourself.' When I asked if he knew of anyone else who could help he said said sneeringly why don't you just look online. I tried to explain that I would much rather support a local business, and he coarsely said he didn't have the time to help me. I have to say as an avid cobbler user/fix don't through away kinda girl, who has lived all over the US and Europe that this is hands down the very very worst experience.

I second those reviews saying this man is rude! I went in to his shop and asked for my boots to be healed at ten past 4!! His response "Nah I'm going home, closing up"

I will drive to Dorchester from now on and give my money to the Johnson's! So much for supporting your local sheriff! If all small business owners behaved like this there would be none! Very poor I only gave one star because I had to!!
