Visited on a weekday evening for a drink in the beer garden and some food inside. Really nice, reasonably priced 'pub grub' with a range of options. Staff were lovely and made us feel really welcome. Friendly, bustling village pub.

Visiting from Florida with some fussy eaters, came a few times, the food was probably the best we have had in the UK, service was great and everyone had a smile and very accommodating,the beer was cold and fresh, seems it's very popular with the locals, which is always a good sign. The landlord Russell was very helpful and very knowledgeable about the area, anyone within a 30 mile radius, it's well worth the visit.

Overall quite disappointed.
So, super friendly staff and service. Great atmosphere. Simple and warm.
However,
the food was thoroughly disappointing.
I was really looking forward to the Stone Oven Pizzas. But they were overdone. See pic.

They replaced it with a new one. Nice of them 🙂
Sadly under-done. 🙁
The reviews on here are mostly positive.
So..
Maybe just an off day?

Super delicious food , I had a jacket of potatoes with incredibly tasty prawns and mushrooms , I want to get back and try more food from the menu , very welcoming stuff , 5 easy stars from me ?

Had my uncle John's 90th lunch today I must say food n service outstanding by far we ve had thanku soo much hoops we will def be returning
Been ordering him a sunday roast delivered during cov I'd there just brilliant here

Excellent, friendly service. Very basic, bland food. Wetherspoons quality. Not what I would hope to have on a rare meal out. Might as well get an Iceland frozen meal on the way home. Cut the menu by half and keep the things that are home made and let chef enjoy experimenting & making these yummy. Nice place for a drink. Very friendly
