This has got to be one of my favourite pubs in the world. The atmosphere is great, the patrons are always enjoying themselves, the staff are incredible and the pie, boy oh boy the pie, is the best pie I've ever had (On multiple occasions).

I love this pub, I highly recommend it, my parents visiting from Australia were forced to try it (because of my obsession) and they absolutely loved it too.

If you're thinking about going here, do it, you won't regret it.

Very dog friendly also, so even better!

We popped in for lunch on a Saturday having booked in advance. We'd not been before but the reviews sounded great.
We weren't disappointed.
This is a really nice traditional Cotswold pub that also does top quality food.
The interior is quite cosy and forms a number of eating areas. We sat in the snug but any of the tables looked good.
The outside seating also looked good especially in the unexpected sunshine on the day we visited.
There's a good selection of ales and a well priced wine list with plenty to choose from by the glass or carafe.
The food was tremendous. Other reviewers were not wrong. We had the crispy beef salad, the slow cooked belly pork, a side of cauliflower cheese and a rhubarb and apple crumble with clotted cream ice cream. All delicious.
If you're out in the Cotswolds and you fancy taking time out in a cracking pub restaurant, with great service, food and drink, this is the place for you.

The Hare is a firm favourite for local pubs. I love visiting and feeling so comfortable each and every time i go. The staff are amazing and so friendly!

My favourite dish to order each time is the Crispy Beef salad, but if i go on a Sunday i go for their Classic Roast Beef. The beef on these dishes melt in your mouth they are so Tender 🤤 Both such healthy options with the Salad having lots of it, and the Roast having veggies that come with it.

The drink options are so wide, you can ask the Bar staff to make a drink with anything available, they are geniuses with the creations and with the Shot menu too which regularly changes to suit the season.

I highly recommend the Hare!

Excellent food in a lovely Cotswold pub setting. The chicken and leek pie was outstanding, Bream also good. Daughter had the crispy beef salad which I was lucky enough to finish off. Very enjoyable meal.

Opted for the roast beef on Sunday evening. Pretty awful, probably the worst roast I’ve had. The roast potatoes were hard and the knife could hardly cut through it. Better utensils would be an idea, guys. They were obviously the result of being put through the deep fryer. The beef, apart from the gristle, was edible, but hardly what I would call flavoursome. The cauliflower cheese was watery and mediocre. The service was good. The atmosphere was loud, with children and dogs running all over the place when trying to eat. On paying the bill, one of the dark haired waitresses asked me to make a second payment, obviously the staff have no clear system to check this kind of error, which just added insult to injury. Professionalism and common courtesy clearly amiss with the staff. Perhaps training would be in order on how to treat clientele. Having made payment of £66.00 for 2 mains and one drink, the waiter asked how our food was, to which I replied, not great. He actually was surprised and was quite vocal about it, which just goes to further demonstrate how unprofessional this establishment is. The staff added the displayed service charge, without even asking if the service warranted it. I’ve been to better places in local villages and towns, and not only was the service and food better, they also asked if it was fine to leave the service charge. This place was much better pre 2020, and the ambience and cuisine was without question, outstanding. The restaurant has been replaced by a standard overpriced pub, flying on the former owners’ reputation. Thanks guys for a pretty shambolic evening! Enter at your own risk.

Really disappointing dinner with friends. 3 out of 4 of us chose from the fish menu. Oh dear. For a start the “potted shrimps” were not potted at all but served as a kind of rough pate. Horrible. The plaice was a large fish but served with its head and skin on. Unpleasant. Staff were disengaged and charmless. We had so hoped this would be a great dining experience but sad to say we won’t be back.

Welcoming pub with great service, lovely food and a relaxed atmosphere.

Me and two friends came here after a weekend cycle. The portions were large for lunch time sandwiches and very good value for money. The whole menu really looked delicious.

The service was also very good, really polite and fast.

There is also free parking just over the road next to the park.

Absolutely lovely establishment. My wife and I visited for an anniversary lunch. The staff couldn't be any more attentive and friendly. The food was excellent and a good choice of Beers. We will certainly go back when we next visit the Cotswolds.
