Welcoming cozy bar (we sat in the bar rather than the lounge) Fabio the owner / manager was very friendly. We ordered a slice of pizza and he generously brought out the whole pizza (no extra charge) the other meals were beautiful. We will definitely return. Well worth a visit.

Check your bill before leaving!
We dined here recently and the food & service were fine, there was plenty of food and it was very tasty. Unfortunately despite being asked to check the bill we later found that we had been charged for a drink that we hadn’t had, we should have been alerted by the fact that the table next to us had queried their bill but we didn’t, so, learn from me and check the bill before leaving!

I would just like to say how disappointed I am with the new management team at the fort. I have been coming down here for 20 years and spent the best part of the last 2 in this pub, but as of late I refuse to spend a penny in there as they have miss treated and quite honestly shot themselves in the foot by barring one of my friends for the foreseeable future for what I would class as a honest mistake. Therefore I will not be attending this pub ever again even throughout the winter months where I know business is tough but to treat someone who is a local down here with a lack of respect is no on.

have been going to the Fortescue Restaurant for several years, but not any more. The food served was still frozen and had to be sent back, menu items unavailable and after dinner coffee not available at 21.00 hrs as the machine had been cleaned ready for the next day!

Love the Fortescue on any normal occasion! Scott - the manager has potentially the worst attitude to LOCALS I have ever come across. Given there are so few people that live in town year round and support the locals pubs - it’s pretty disappointing! Perhaps he might like to rethink the way he treats his genuinely loyal customers.

Stopped for a quick pint here and I received great service. The pub has two parts to it, on half a sports bar and the other half a more traditional pub. The food looked good and it has a nice outdoor area.
