Completely pointless organisation. Despite a party wall surveyor breaking half of their code of conduct they did absolutely nothing to remedy the situation, or to sanction the said surveyor. Why have a governing body if it does nothing at all?

Disappointing. We commissioned Martin Gustyn and Associates Ltd to assess our garden wall with an assessment of its condition and a recommendation of any remedial work (in written form so that we could share this with our contractors). Martin was very friendly but we paid £350 and received nothing of the sort, only a long list of quotations for additional services. We asked several times for what was required but he simply ignored our email communications

Tremendously helpful when a rogue party wall surveyor tried to nab business by sending confusing unsolicited mail to our neighbours. The firm in question wouldn't back off and quoted us lines from the Party Wall Act, but with telephone advice from the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors we were able to understand that those lines didn't apply to our situation, and we successfully uninvited the gatecrashers from our party.
