A Nightmare Stay: Avoid This Hotel at All Costs!

I recently had the misfortune of staying at [Hotel Name], and I must say it was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. From the moment I walked in, it was clear that this hotel was in desperate need of renovation. The lobby was dimly lit and smelled musty, and the check-in process took much longer than it should have.

When I finally got to my room, I was shocked at how outdated and run-down it was. The walls were stained and peeling, the carpet was worn and dirty, and the furniture was old and uncomfortable. The bathroom was even worse. The showerhead was rusty, the toilet seat was cracked, and the sink was clogged. But the worst part of all was the water heater. It was so old and poorly maintained that it scalded me every time I tried to take a shower. I had to be extremely careful not to get burned, which made my stay even more miserable.

To make matters worse, the hairdryer in my room smelled like it was about to catch fire. I was too afraid to use it, so I had to let my hair air dry. I also noticed that the electrical outlets were loose and dangerous, which was a major safety hazard.

I complained to the front desk several times during my stay, but the staff was unapologetic and did nothing to address my concerns. They seemed more interested in making excuses than in providing good customer service.

Overall, I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. It is old, dirty, and dangerous, and the staff is unhelpful and unprofessional. Save yourself the hassle and stay somewhere else. You'll thank me later.

Wouldnt even give this hotel one star. On arrival nobody in reception. Rang number and person we spoke to very rude. Guests should be spoken to wirh courtesy.|Room small and very shabby. Bedding not ironed. Mat on the floor needed washing. Hotel in my opinion needs refurbishment. Entrance need a good coat of paint. Left hotel after one night.

I came here with a group tour and apparently this is a hotel “owned” by a Chinese couple. They kicked me out of their dining room saying they are closing even though there are still people eating there. They are impatient rude and unprofessional. The room is alright standard room and all. Their service is without a doubt one of the worst I’ve ever seen. The charging sockets are a hike from the bed. There is also no wifi there either

Had a fabulous time. So quiet, peaceful, scenic. Food was great as was the service. Hotel was a little dated but had character and the room I stayed in was adequate for what I needed. Would recommend and will definitely visit again at some point

Friendly and comfortable hotel with good food. Somewhat ‘down at heel’ throughout but charming nonetheless. We visited out of season so the accommodation was inexpensive. The hotel and restaurant were very large and looked to be set up for coach parties in season.

Their rooms are terrible. Old, dirty and worn out. No hot water from shower occasionally, didn’t change towel and clean our rooms in 2nd day of our stay. No staff in reception even press the button as instructed in the posted notice. The worst hotel I ever seen.

Hotel is ideally situated for touring the Scottish highlands. Our room was more than adequate and had clearly recently had a refurbishment. We found some of the staff in restaurant rude and oppressive. Questioning us whilst eating our breakfast two mornings running about why we were sat in that area. On the first night they had no table for us and we had to sit in the bar area away from our coach trip members. They should have spare tables as we were pre booked and they knew the numbers involved. We had come away to relax, paid good money for the trip. This was our first holiday since the pandemic which both myself and husband had worked throughout. We found the restaurant experience both stressful and annoying. This is a shame as other than that the hotel was fine.
