We stayed at The Strand for a murder mystery event with friends. It was fantastic 🙂

The building is just gorgeous, and has been renevated in line with its period.

We stayed in room 2, and wanted for nothing. The bed was super comfortable, the bathroom was fully equipped and the hot water was instant. Decent quality tea and coffee is provided in the rooms, or if you fancy it, there is a well stocked honesty bar in the lobby area.

The full English breakfast was delicious and served with a smile.

There's a bus stop right outside if you fancy a trip into Rye, or you can take a short walk into Winchelsea. Both have pretty, period architecture to feast your eyes on.

Can't fault anything. Will visit again 100%.

Wow, just wow!!|Kelly and Alex are the loveliest people. Their calm and laid-back demeanour made us feel so welcome! Nothing was too much trouble. |The breakfast was just wonderful. Strand House is a true delight. Hearing the history of this beautiful abode, was incredibly interesting and made the stay more fun.|We highly recommend this place and would go back in a heart-beat.

Kelly and Alex were so friendly and welcoming. The B&B is charming and full of character. We had a lovely room with a 4-poster bed and the breakfast was delicious with lots of choice. Loved the honesty bar, the beautiful Christmas decorations that were put out while we were out for dinner and most of all, the very warm welcome. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Strand House was a perfect venue for our family festive occasion. Interesting rooms (but watch your head on the low ceilings in the bedrooms) and a warm and cosy lounge with a log fire in the evenings. Excellent breakfast. Hosts were very welcoming and helpful in providing information about restaurants and activities. The venue and the hosts made our family get-together enjoyable and memorable. Thank you Alex and Kelly.

This was our 2nd visit to The Strand and we were so pleased that 2nd time around it was as wonderful a stay as our first visit. It is a beautiful place, a real home from home. I really cannot fault anything about it, and Kelly and Alex are great hosts too. Rye is a very short bus trip away and it's lovely there. We are already planning our 3rd stay at The Strand before the Spring.

My 2nd stay at Strand House!
Once again a comfortable, charming and relaxing experience. Great sleep and a beautiful room.
A great place to stay to welcome the New Year with great company from hosts Alex and Kelly.
We were then provided with a tasty, hearty breakfast after a night of Prosecco from the honesty bar.
The house was beautifully kitted out for the festive season also! Love.

We stayed here for 6 nights and had a truly exceptional stay. We thought it was perfectly located to use as a base to discover some of the south east .
The house has so much character and charm and Alex and Kelly are warm and engaging hosts who made us feel so comfortable and well looked after. They have painstakingly and sensitively restored this property and really opened it up for guests to enjoy.
Breakfast was especially good and the menu was a real treat, not just your average offerings!
We had one really warm and sunny day during our stay and had breakfast in the garden. We returned back there in the afternoon to read and have a couple of drinks from the honesty bar which was well stocked and thought out (ice, bar snacks, chopped lemon for your gin and tonic).
Our room was super comfortable, the towels were very soft and fluffy and we had a beautiful and newly done bathroom.
We ate at the New Inn (about 10 minutes walk away) several times and can highly recommend there for lunch and dinner.
We thought that Winchelsea was a very picturesque and peaceful place and we really relaxed there.
If you want to stay in a charming place full of character then this is the place for you.

A delightfully quaint, tastefully renovated house on the outskirts of Winchelsea with easy parking, comfortable beds and delicious breakfasts. The hosts are very welcoming, knowledgeable about the area and dog friendly. They went out of their way with an iron, ironing board and extra closet space to hang our numerous outfits for an extended festive event. We were so grateful, and we highly recommend a visit.
