The whole team at Strakers proved they are worthy estate agents (who are few and far between), they were excellent at presenting our property to the market, selecting suitable purchasers and dealing with all parties involved in the process. Estate agents come in for a lot of criticism but I can honestly say the Strakers team have been fantastic. They always know what's happening, and they are friendly, punctual and helpful. They all know the main features of my house and were proactive in selling it I trust them and their advice - which is always constructive. Interestingly - they have taken the trouble to understand my buyers needs too - smoothing the way to completing the sale. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Strakers (Malmesbury) team proved to be a very good choice for our move. Graham and Tim marketted our house enthusiastically, with professional photographs and lined up around 12 sets of viewers- all accompanied by a team member, immediately; positive, enthusiastic buyers were quickly found for us. Of particular note was the excellent care and support we recieved from Victoria Lawrence, in the 'Sales & Progressing' role. Many Estate Agents don't have this 'Progressing' part as a dedicated role and we were certainly glad of the professional support and reassurance offered by Vicki, as well as the hard work she put in for us to keep things moving and communications flowing between all parties. We recently purchased a property through Strakers. The whole experience was a frustrating and unpleasant mess.

First they failed to tell us that the property we were interested in had received an offer despite, our stated interest, leading the sellers to accept the only offer they had. When we attempted to view the property again a Strakers agent rudely told us that it was our fault they didn't contact us, and that the property was under offer.

They then failed to tell us when that offer fell through, mere days later, and the property was back on the market - it was only through chance that we noticed the property was once again listed as available.

They then tricked us into paying for services such as electrical inspection of the property, which are traditionally carried out by the sellers as part of the sale.

While we made it clear that we needed to proceed quickly with the purchase they also took no further action for two entire months, only becoming active again when it suited the sellers to proceed, immediately before christmas, at which point Strakers agents called us as many as four times a week for weeks on end to harass us over contracts that they knew were being handled by our solicitors, and which we had no ability to accelerate.

The Strakers agent was also grossly unprofessional and insulting during one of these calls, throwing an actual temper tantrum down the phone at us when we insisted on being able to inspect the property as part of the exchange process - which we were legally entitled to do.

Never have I been so disgusted with a supposedly professional agency. I will never be using Strakers again.
