Stoneswood is such a stunning home! The home is set high on the hillside overlooking sweeping views of Saddleworth Moor transporting you into the enchanting story of Wuthering Heights!

Once inside, the home combines the elegance and character of ornate high ceilings and sweeping staircases with a modern, purpose built extension sensitively brought together to create a lovely home.

Residents relax in lounges steeped in original features with breath taking views of the countryside. What makes this home stand out is a wonderful place called The Lodge. A separate purpose built café and activities space tucked into the hillside and just a minutes stroll from the main house. A brilliant addition to allow residents to remain active and independent to meet friends whilst remaining in the grounds of the care home!

I had the pleasure of working with Alana - Admin, Hannah in Activities and Helen, the Home Manager. A lovely team who care deeply about creating a rich and fulfilling lifestyle for their residents. When visiting the home, every member encountered took time to say hello which is so welcoming.

Stoneswood is an elegant home filled with character and charm and a place where residents will feel comfort, care and friendship.

I recently delivered some face to face training at the home and was made to feel most welcome all staff were very nice and made me feel at home. Although only for a day my experience was it is a nice well run home with amazing staff and I look forward to returning in the near future.

Finding a residential Care Home for a family member is never easy, even harder is placing a family member in one. From the very first time we met Val our minds were put at ease. We were undecided if it was the right time and the advice given by Val was excellent, there was certainly no pressure or desire on her part to fill a room.
For coming up to two years my mother-in-law has be a resident now. The staff are friendly, accommodating and caring. The past few months have been hard, of necessity visits have been cut in order to try and protect the residents from the potential of someone bringing Covid-19 in. My Father-in-law and wife were daily visitors, so have missed going, but have always been kept informed. We are grateful the management put a lockdown in place so quickly. Staff have taken time to organise video calls and chats and sent our weekly newsletters. 5 stars

I provide entertainment in many care homes across the region and I always look forward to performing at Stoneswood.
The staff are most hospitable and helpful, and the residents are encouraged to take part singing and dancing in what ever way they can, able-bodied or not.
There are always plenty of smiles and the place has a happy atmosphere which is a pleasure to be a part of.

My partner came to live at Stoneswood in summer 2023. The staff were welcoming and kind from the time I dropped in on spec to enquire about a place. My partner is well looked after by a caring staff. His room is comfortable, the food is good, he says he has never drunk so much tea! The Lodge is a lovely facility for a short walk, coffee and snacks.

Stoneswood is another fantastic home owned by Autograph Care. Bedroom refurbishment work has recently started and exciting times are ahead in further enhancing the already high quality environment. Great to see the ongoing results of all the dedication of the Autograph Care team in making this home a success for all it's residents and staff alike.
