I can only speak for our experience with Kelly ! I am pretty sure that Kelly neglected to do proper research on the property. Timelines show that a consent to build in the vacant land behind us had been granted before we closed, yet we were never informed. It was us constantly asking Kelly for updates. Like others have said it was a straight forward sale no chain etc yet the process took over 5months. The work was very negligent and took exceedingly long for no reason. If she has too many projects going on at once then managers should disperse them adequately otherwise they are just setting themselves up for legal action

I used Emma Selfridge as my solicitor for the purchase of a buy-to-let property. The process began in July, and despite there being no chain on the property, we only completed at the end of January 2025. The delays were unacceptable and largely due to lost documents, poor communication, and a general lack of organisation.

It was extremely difficult to get hold of Emma, and when she did respond, she would copy me into long, confusing email threads that only added to the stress. I even received emails from her at midnight, which made me question the professionalism of the service. Having purchased several properties in the past, this was by far the worst experience I have had with a solicitor. I am genuinely worried that things may not have been carried out properly because of how chaotic the process was. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for a more reliable and professional service.

The absolute ignorance and lack of interest from Kelly totally infuriated us on purchasing our home. We had nothing to sell and sellers had nothing to buy yet it took 5-6 months to go through with the sale. The most stressful move of our 14. Kelly didn’t even contact us to say “hi I’m your solicitor on behalf of ….” We constantly had to email her for confirmation she was even doing her job. Eventually we rang exasperated and complained with the receptionist who put us through to her and we were so shocked she was actually after months going to hear our voices and vice versa. No hello. Just can I help You! Do not accept this lady as your conveyancer.

Emma Selfridge was outstanding during the sale and purchase process. She drove the transaction forward with Elise’s support, and Emma was instrumental in getting our transaction completed within eights weeks. I couldn’t recommend Emma and Elise more.

I wish I find your firm earlier so I can use your service to sell our current home.
