Visiting today with 2 friends who have have travelled from Paris to pay their respects to Vita & her garden. I usually visit in the summer time, so it’s nice to see the place at a different time of year. Always magical.

Lovely grounds and walk options. The restaurant had a great selection of drinks, snacks and meals. We can't wait to come back when the garden is in full bloom. There is plenty of parking available too. Really nice morning out in the fresh air

An absolutely amazing place to visit and another one of my favourites. Stunning buildings, gardens, architecture and scenic views. Knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly staff. Lovely cafe with plenty of seating and ample parking.
I would highly recommend to anyone.

Great place to visit to explore the castle and the gardens. There's also a cafe and restaurant, and a vegetable garden where you can see what foods they are growing for the restaurant!!! Great place to take your pet for a walk around the estate.

Had a pleasant afternoon with a walk around the cottage and tower. This was followed by a lovely bowl of soup in the restaurant which was tasty and reasonable for the portion. We finished off with the shorter of the two walks (1 mile) round the lake.

Plenty of parking and the staff are friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Wasn’t that much to see inside the buildings but the gardens were lovely plenty there to walk round and see. Nice cafe lovely bit of cake and a coffee and a nice shop bit pricy though. Worth a visit especially for the views.

It is an amazing place to walk around and spend an afternoon, or say 3 or 4 hours. This time, the tower was open, and after climbing to the top, the surrounding views were phenomenal. A lovely relaxing Sunday out with pretty gardens and staff and learnt some of the history about the place. They have a nice restaurant there and a large gift shop. You can also walk around the lake to get your steps in. There is often sheep in the fields, too.

Fabulous gardens. An absolute delight for gardeners seeking inspiration and for photographers seeking that perfect picture. There are separate garden "rooms" with different colours and styles.
The café is not large but it's lovely, with coffee and cake served by a friendly volunteer.
There's a separate restaurant for something more substantial.
And to stretch the legs there's a way marked 3 mile walk through the surrounding countryside. The path looked as though it is muddy during wet periods, so bring your walking boots or wellies if it's been inclement recently.
We thought it is the best garden we've seen for a very long time.
