Great food. Great coffee. Lovely staff. Quick service. What more could you want- vegetarian haggis?
Yep, they’ve got that too and it’s delicious!
We opted for two oat coffees and two vegetarian breakfasts with a side of tattie scones for good measure. It set us up for the day in a timely fashion, as we watched the rain hammer the windows. Plenty of vegetarian / vegan options from drinks to breakfasts / lunches and cakes. All served with a warm smile.

Delicious food, variety of options. Soup and sandwich combo is always a favourite of mine. Soup was so good i got a portion to go! Lovely staff who were evidently rushed off their feet with a busy place but we're still attentive and welcoming. Cake selection to die for! Beautiful artwork all around the place (available for purchase) and a wee shop area if you fancy buying a scottish momento. Prices were great for the portions and I would highly recommend a visit!

Simply Splendid!
Pulled into Jedburgh for a rest stop and quick cuppa this afternoon. Came upon Simply Scottish. Very nice, relaxed atmosphere and lots of room. We weren’t having a hot meal but the menu looked excellent and very reasonably priced. Other diners seemed to be enjoying hot food that looked very good! We were tempted by the cakes - an impressive selection of sponges, flapjacks etc, and BIG portions too. We plumped for Apple & cinnamon, and Pistachio & white chocolate (see photo). Can highly recommend. Tea/coffee very good.
Also we’d like to say ‘thank you’ to Jedburgh. Free car parking, free public toilets (very clean), clear signage, visitor information, heritage attractions (we visited the house of Mary Queen of Scots - excellent). A lovely place to visit. Thank you Jedburgh and thank you Simply Scottish.

Simply Scottish is a firm favourite, excellent food at reasonable prices and a very friendly local cafe feel.
It's a good stop off for anyone travelling up the A68 as there's a large free car park just off Canongate. And you can pop into Heron and Willow the award winning book shop while you're there 🙂

The food was okay, nothing wrong with it but not amazing either, the did forget to add cheese to the burger that I ordered but didn't detract from the food that much.

Went on a sunny day at lunch and had a great atmosphere.

Lovely cafe with outside seating. Dogs aren't allowed inside (only service dogs ), but you can sit outside with them. Food was excellent and the cakes are devine.

We decided to pop over the border into Scotland and Jedburgh was the most recommended place without traveling too far. We park up and have a walk into the town. As is the custom with the mother and father in law, a coffee was needed.

We head around the corner, and Costa or one of the main brands was suggested. I'm not down with this! Why come to Scotland and go to the same chain as we do in Swindon! We needed something Simply Scottish! See what I did there 😁.

We are seated at the window by the extremely friendly staff. They tell us what is on the menu and we order.
The bacon bap I had was magnificent. Very tasty. All the drinks were spot on and we enjoyed our time here.

Super place for a bite to eat. We went in as a table of 7. The service was spot on. The food was fantastic, the soups were home made and really tasty. There all sorts but we kept it simple as we had a big meal planned that night
