My wife and I have been thinking for a while about getting our affairs sorted out. We had heard of trusts, wills and LPA’s etc but didn’t know the details and what would be best for us.
So we contacted Silvergate to find out more about them.
One of their estate planners Steven Jackson got in touch and arranged to visit us at home. He was very knowledgeable and explained the benefits of having these things in place.
Having got all the details about them we decided to go ahead and have now got a Family Trust and updated wills and LPA’s in place.
I would like to thank Steven for his help during the process. Also thanks must go to Leah Pearce who assisted Steven and kept us up to date with the progress.
In short, i would thoroughly recommend Silvergate and Steven in particular if you are thinking about sorting out your affairs.

Estate Planner Steven Jackson was most helpful with our estate planning, as was Case Worker Leah Pearce when we had a query.

I recently had the pleasure of contacting Simon Hobson (estate planner) from Silvergate Group The company was very accommodating and arranged a time and date to suit me at my home to discuss updating my will and estate. This initial meeting was very relaxed. Simon began by taking down some notes to get an overview of exactly what I required. The conversation was very professional as he went through each stage, explaining in a way that was very helpful and easy to understand and confirmed at each part of the process that I understood before moving on to the various stages and procedures that would be necessary to fulfil my wishes before giving me a quote for the work to be undertaken, having confirmed that I was completely happy.
Another meeting was arranged after the necessary legal paperwork and forms were completed to be signed off.
Throughout the whole process the business was carried out by Simon and the team at Silvergate in a friendly, professional manner.
I was feeling very confident that I had done the right thing and Simon had “dotted the i’s and crossed the t’s”.

Our daughter Dawn told us about silver gate Wills through another family member. We discussed it and she hot in contact with Jayne. And she did a brilliant job! Talked us through our options, and what was best for US. ( I already have a probate claim in elsewhere and, so far it's been 16 months!) To avoid any issues in future we chose Silvergate. My Estate Planner was Simon and case worker Carol McCormack made the process of making my will a very smooth process. Simon explained everything clearly and offered a free consultation to discuss what I wanted etc. before discussing pricing etc.
It was quick and easy to do and very professional - would definitely recommend to others and I will definitely use again!
