This is a shockingly poor law firm. They work for Bradfords building supplies which says a lot. I received a threatening letter from SE solicitors about an incorrect debt. I was actually in credit. SE solicitors letter was aggressive and disturbing. What ever happened to classy well run law firms?

Joshua Kingston was just a treasure. He incredibly cared about our like it was his own one.

Joshua also has a very positive personality, can-do attitude. He explained with the simplest words what has to be done legally to purchase a house but also why certain things are in place. He is a treasure.

Debbie Bates did an incredibly good job too. Replying, raising questions and writing the report so fast that she must have worked out of her hours I believe!

However, everyone is very nice at the firm!

I used Spratt Endicott for my house purchase earlier this year and in summary, I would not recommend.

During the purchase, it was a nightmare from start to finish. Here are a few highlights:

1. My lawyer changed half way through and I wasn’t informed until 1 week before their departure. It wasn’t until several phone calls and emails (to the partner) later that I was informed who my new contact was- of which it took me a further week to get in touch with. At this point we were due to exchange (we did not exchange until a month later).

2. With this being my first purchase, I was kept completely out of the loop, although there was minimal communication taking place at any point from this firm. This was both unsettling and upsetting. To this day, following completion, I am still none the wiser as to how you buy a property (I don’t think SE do either!)

3. Following all of this, I then almost lost the flat! Their rate of response was so very slow/non-existent that my estate agents were left feeling as though I was disinterested and were about to put it back on the market.

4. When we came to complete (and exchange on the same day) they were unaware of bank transfer limits, which resulted in a further delay.

Whilst I never like to post negative reviews, I feel as though I need to share in order to prevent others having the same poor experience as me.
