I wish I could say we've had a decent experience with RDC but it has been utterly appalling. We have to deal with a very loud neighbour, reported it, waited months upon months for a response, and when I did get 1 I replied almost instantly. Reported that despite a letter going out the noise was still an issue. Issue is still on going but they couldn't care less and insist we have to do the whole process again despite me never receiving contact to say it was closed (Falsely at that).

The same location is also causing significant damage to our garden fences and extension wall, damage to both our flat roof and main roof and apparently that is nothing to do with them at all.

Now looking at taking legal action.

Dealing with RDC customer services is an ordeal. The inability to be empathic about complaints, honest and try to offer a solution is not their method. The simplest niggle like an unemptied bin can lead to escalation after escalation as they offer excuse after excuse for the poor service rather than honesty, responsibility and any duty of care or service to their tax paying constituents.

I’m not very happy when they came to empty the poo bin near me house they always park in front of my house next time they come and collect it can they not block my driveway they came at 12:38 today if I see them there again I’m going to put nails down so the tires pop ok

I approached the council to help me safely and responsibly dispose of small amount of non-household waste. They weren't willing to help me and were more concerned with policy and bureaucracy.

Phoned the offices at 9.44 this morning spoke to a lovely lady about a larder fridge that had been flytipped outside of my elderly fathers house last week, she said she would arrange for it to be collected and it was by 12.00 excellent service and one very relieved 92yrs old gentleman

Found a dead fox in my garden. Reported it at 4.00 p.m. and the chap had picked it up by 9.30 the following morning. Can't fault that service. They don't always get things right, but none of us are perfect!

Allowing housing to be built where it should not be. Allowing building companies to disrupt lives of locals all in the name of profit.
