As a motorway service station Roadchef Sandbach is pretty tired indoors. A lot of the decor and furniture have definitely seen better days. The thing that differentiates this establishment from others is the staff. They obviously go to a lot of effort to keep the place very clean and hygienic. I've visited Moto many times but while the places are modern, they are always filthy. Tables, not cleaned, etc. That wasn't the case here. All the tables, floors and seats were spotlessly clean. We had food from McDonald's on site. It was quick, efficient and pleasant. The only negative thing was the McDonald's ordering terminals always seem to be out of paper (not just at this branch). I would like a receipt. Otherwise, thanks for the break on a 300 mile journey. This is a decent place.

Jeepers, this is right up there as about the worst services I have had the misfortune to visit. Toilets were filthy, staff mostly vacant and uninterested. Actually decided not to eat because the place was so bad.

Poorly signposted but on the plus side the parking was fine. Will 100% avoid this services in future, it could do with pulling down or completely gutting and updating

Good clean service. Small, but restaurant and dining areas are clean with everything in place. Toilets are clean. 6 or 5 chargers for electric cars. Entry and exit from service with potholes. Good place to stop. Recommended.

Stopped at the services for a quick lunch at McDonalds and had to post about the excellent service. Linda was so kind to our two children - getting a highchair for our one year old and colours and pictures for our 3 year old. She also gave them a book and a toy. We had a lovely chat with her - she really went above and beyond. What brilliant hospitality we’ve never experienced before at either a service station or a McDonald’s.

Stopped here on the way back the same day I'd stopped at the other side, and very impressed at how they're both almost identical. Like the other side, it's a good place to make a stop, with ok variety and clean toilets. Again, can get a bit crowded as it's quite a small area.
