Here’s appreciating Real Time Consultants generically and Nicky in particular for my transitioning to One web.

From the first call , I knew she was a recruiter with a difference. She is knowledgeable, endearing and passionate. She practically keyed me into the vision of One Web from the first day telling me about their line of business, their strategic alliances, drive and the benefits they offer.

Long story cut short, she was always in touch till interview sessions were fixed, she even put up a session before the first session to psyche me up and give my appearance and home some aesthetics! She would also ring back to tell me about what the recruiting team felt in real time and here were are today celebrating this speedy sweet sail because of Nicky’s standout traits.

Like I told her, we would be friends even beyond this career defining phase of my life. Thanks Nicky for being awesomely excellent and thanks Real Time Consultants for giving her the thriving space to flourish.

Nicky’s ability in matching personnel to careers has had a phenomenal impact on my life.

I left the Royal Marines, a few months ago, after 18 years’ service predominantly working as a Communications Specialist. A lot of veterans go through a turbulent period when transitioning back into civilian employment. It was extremely important I found the right career from the start. Unfortunately, my search over the last few months had been fruitless. I’d received a lot of interest from several recruitment companies, with many promises, that mostly came to nothing.

I received a phone call from Nicky about 3 weeks ago about a position. She’d found my CV online. I initially thought she was just another recruiter with potential broken promises. Bottom line up front, three weeks later, I have now landed the dream position with an amazing company and a comprehensive package that seems too good to be true. From that initial phone call Nicky has mentored me at every step. She has helped me revise my CV and Covering Letter. Within an hour of submitting these, I received an invite to interview. I then went through several interviews, including one with a director. Nicky was by my side at each stage giving me advise and building confidence. This was very important. I have very little/no experience in the corporate world having spent most of my adult life in the military. She prepared me extremely well for interview which turned out to be a very pleasant experience as opposed to the nerve-wracking interrogations I perceived them to be. Again, within an hour of my final interview, I received a phone call to say I had been successful and my application would be passed to HR. Nicky has kept in touch making sure I have been offered the agreed package. She has given me additional advice on managing my personal life whilst settling into this position. She has also promised to keep in touch over the next 6 months whilst I settle into my new career.

The last few weeks have been a whirlwind (for the good) but I’m eternally grateful to Nicky for finding me and giving me this amazing opportunity.
