Absolutely awful service. Referred to by my Estate Agent, which I would never do again. Communication was shockingly bad, at no point in time did they appear on top of progress with the sale. They lost track of emails and documents I had sent, left things like contacting management companies until the last minute and not being clear about charges. I complained several times and received a whole host of excuses followed by a brief period of action, which was the only way I got the sale over the line. The icing on the cake was when the completion statement came through and there were deductions on there that I hadn't agreed to/ authorised and to this day (almost a year on) I still haven't had an explanation as to what happened. I have found them completely inefficient, untrustworthy and feel as though using this company cost me time and money - would not recommend.

I did not employ Real Legal myself. If I had done, I would certainly not pay them. Unfortunately however, our house sale was nearly scuppered by them because our buyer DID employ them. What did they do? Well, nothing really. At first, they did nothing, and weeks were wasted in waiting for them to do searches and make enquiries, their excuse, when they finally got round to communicating, being that they thought that the transaction was on hold (who told them that?). Our buyer complained because she had not received the correct contract, even though we had sent it to Real Legal several times. On the day that, after all the delays, we were finally expecting exchange of contracts, they announced that for reasons (unstated) "beyond their control" this could not happen for a week, but even a week later (having continued to do nothing), it still didn't happen and there was a further week's unexplained delay - at which point one of the estate agents told me that he had the impression that, because they didn't answer correspondence or pick up the phone when rung, their client, our buyer, was trying to organise the conveyancing herself, but without much knowledge of how to do so.

In the end, in desperation, and having read a number of very poor reviews on here, I wrote to them twice myself because we were on the point of cancelling the sale as a result of their phenomenal time-wasting and manifest incompetence.

Bottom line: Real Legal are to be avoided at all costs.

Highly reccomend Real Legal. Muhammed was very fast and efficient with the transfer of my property. Wasn't expecting the job to be done for a few weeks. Within a week everything was done. Fab job! Keep up the hard work.
