Cannot recommend Hugh and Stephen highly enough. As I went through the process of my first house purchase, they taught me a lot about what to look for, and how to negotiate with vendors if necessary. They were not pushy, and gave me plenty of time and space to compare quotes and choose what I wanted to do. The Home Buyer Report itself was timely and thorough and my vendors spoke very highly of Hugh, who spent at least four hours inspecting the property. From my experience with PT Surveyors I gained peace of mind, as well as invaluable knowledge about the legalities and realities of investing my money into a property. This survey is an important part of that investment, and I have no doubt that I chose the right guys for the job.

From the initial quote through to receiving the report Hugh was extremely thorough and the report we received was clear, jargon free and has ensured we’ve been able to address any issues prior to our move.

PT Surveyors have been excellent. From quotation to inspection that gave a thorough breakdown of the process. They were extremely quick and efficient and gave us a wonderfully detailed report which was also accompanied by a phone call to give us the main highlights. First of all - you get what you pay for with these guys. The report (level 3 - building survey on a late 19th century property) was highly detailed and 170+ pages long which has clearly been annotated and personally written in most sections with recommendations per category, rather than just standard filler which can be seen in other reports I have seen from other providers of family/friends from larger firms.

The report was unbiased, thorough, and critical, as I would expect (which is a good thing given that the report is meant to highlight issues and not ‘tell you what you want to hear’) which was great to see.

Hugh has been particularly helpful throughout the process, calling me twice to give me an update and a run down of the report and wait times expected - whilst offering to help with any concerns or queries about the property in question throughout the process. The team seem like really genuine guys, and I particularly liked being able to ask about issues that are present at the property (Hugh spoke to me for around an hour after 5, which shows that he actually spends time to address customer needs).

Will definitely be recommending PT Surveyors to my family and friends as a result of the service I have received this month.

Fantastic service throughout with a very detailed report produced. Hugh contacted me over the phone once he completed our level 3 survey and spoke through his findings and provided a detailed summary ahead of the written report. He used his experience of the trade to provide much needed advice and was able to sign post us to the relevant companies. He even stated that he was happy for us to call him at any point if there is anything we wish to clarify or ask, which I thought was nice and reassuring for a first time buyer. The written report arrived within a few days and was in great detail. Would highly recommend and would use Hugh and the team again. Thank you!

Hugh at PT Surveyors was brilliant throughout the process. Very professional and thorough and the vendor even commented on how good Hugh was throughout the visit. She wished she had used him for their home survey. Lastly, the report is very detailed, and the advice, pictures, and layout is the best I have seen.
