I would not hesitate to recommend Pictions for conveyancing and other legal matters, having felt in safe hands for both. We had difficult legal case plus more recently a complex property sale. Deborah Saini on the litigation side was excellent and Nick Ritson and Vanessa Haynes were excellent on the conveyancing side, guiding us through what has been tricky and very stressful processes.

Pictons were employed by the vendor of the property I am in the process of buying. Their incompetence slowed the purchase down by 4 months.
The vendor sacked Pictons and went with a better solicitors. After 6 weeks we are now about to complete.
I would avoid using Pictons.

Avoid avoid avoid!
We used pictons as years ago my mum used them to write her will, draw up a power of attorney and store the deeds to her property.
My mum got dementia a few years ago and was losing capacity to deal with her finances so I went to pictons to register the power of attorney and filled in some paperwork.
The paperwork got lost and slowed the process down by a couple of months.
When it came to the time we needed the deeds for the house as mum had to go in a care home these were lost too it was like a wild goose chase trying to speak to the person dealing with this and they took about 9 months to get the house put on the land registry.
Sadly my mum passed away 4 weeks ago so I needed to get the will from them which I got plus a will that belonged to somebody else!!!!
Absolute incompetence.
Having recently dealt with other solicitors who do their job properly really highlights how bad this company is.

DO NOT USE PICTONS SOLICITORS LLP

We used Pictons around a year ago for a straight forward buy to let purchase with no chains either side.
There communication level is 0, they never respond to emails, they never call you back and when you do eventually get through they blame low staffing levels, staff off sick, staff on holiday, totally unprofessional.
They have a separate complaints department who are also a total waste of time, we had no response from them or any Partner or Director who works for Pictons until we were 5 months in, we are still waiting for Siobhan Rooney to get back to us, she also did not respond to emails or phone calls, when she finally did she said she needed two weeks to look at the case, two weeks have passed and she hasn't got back to us.
I don't want to go into our case too much but felt the need to write this review as they have given us the worst customer service we have ever experienced.
Please look at other Google reviews as they are also very bad, if I could have given them 0 I would have done.

I left this review on their Facebook page a year ago and still to this day they never came back to us to apologise.

I wish I hadn't have 'Pict-on' this solicitors! I've never dealt with a slower collection of individuals in my life... and I spent the last two summers herding a group of geriatric, three toed sloths through the rainforest. On skis. Avoid at all costs.
