Such a lovely place, amazing food to eat in or take away, great specials, friendly staff and cosy atmosphere. We've lived in the village for a couple of years now and it's always a pleasure to pop in and get something new! One of the lovely highlights of Riccall.

I called in for a drink and a snack when walking along the old railway line between Selby and York. A lovely cafe serving a wide range of drinks, snacks, sandwiches and bakery products. The coffee and bacon sandwich were both very good.
Very friendly staff.

Another place that does not use it's advertised hours. The kitchen closed earlier than the premises. All we ever want is to go to a food place and be able to buy and eat food in its advertised hours. Please state in your website if we have to go half an hour or whatever time earlier to be able to eat. It's very hard when you go in and then to add insult to injury they serve their friends with some nice smelling hot food after saying no to you. Some of us drove over 40 miles to go there with friends and hungry toddlers. What a mistake. The good thing was the staff were nice ppl.

Only my second vegetarian Sunday lunch & what a pleasure. My celeriac steaks were superb along with delicious local vegetables. The service was warm, informative & welcoming. All washed down with a bottle of fantastic Peculiar Mr Pat (Australian Merlot). I don’t do puddings. I normally have a starter & main, but just had to sample the cheese cake! Yes, yes & yes again. Just hope we can get booked in for another Sunday lunch in future! Thanks all staff.

Wow, this is the best food I have tasted ever, fresh good quality ingredients, freshly cooked just like my Mom used to make. Have been twice in the last couple of weeks and will be making sure we go again, I had the humpty Dumpty Burger & Chips and Kerry had the Welsh rarebit OMG beautiful food and staff. We also bough cakes chutney wine beer it really is an amazing Deli. Thanks to the lovely staff & Aimey and Iain the ex Army Chef. BZ
