I was referred to this solicitors through new era to obtain a non-molestation order. Initially was being dealt with by a man named Dennis who was super nice and understanding. However, I was messed around a little bit where phone calls were scheduled and I had finished work early only to be called and have it rearranged. On the 3rd time that this happened, I was then told that Lisa (I think her name was) would be calling me back instead as she was more experienced/ a woman. She called me back only to tell me that she did not really think I had a strong enough case. This was a little frustrating, I trusted her opinion as she clearly has experience but it was annoying that I had spoken with multiple people from New Era, other solicitors and from this solicitor’s who gave the impression that I had a good enough case, so this felt like a waste of a lot of my time and getting my hopes up for nothing.

Lisa then told me that if I was to go forward with it I would need to get numbers about how many calls/ texts etc myself and family had received and that she would call me back the following week. This was on the 26th of Jan and I was called back on the 25th of Feb!! Baring in mind that I had been told that in order to apply for non-molestation order there has to have been in an incident in the past 2 weeks, so had nothing of happened by this point I would have been screwed. My ex however did and still has continued harassing me but it’s just the principle. So when they did call me back almost a month later, it was whilst I was at work (I had already said my working hours multiple times during contact with them), as soon as I saw the call I went outside to call back and no answer. I then received a text from NCDV stating that it was now on Hold as Picasso legal had tried to contact me ‘multiple times’ with no response, which is a straight up lie. Clearly making it look like I stopped engaging when I guess they just couldn’t be arsed. I’ve seen other reviews stating not to bother if you are using legal aid as they do not care, and this seems to be these case unfortunately. It is so disappointing and whilst I will just have to continue dealing with the harassment I am facing, I just feel awful that this could happen to someone in a much more serious situation than my own. Very very unfortunate!

I feel I needed to write a review as at present we needed a solicitor as very new to this kind of protocol to end a not very nice stage in our life’s . Lisa was so reassuring from the go , I felt at ease and all was explained fully, I have no question to recommend Lisa & her team .. Thank you so much ☺️

Absolutely disgraceful the way my friend has been treated during a very sensitive time. Lisa should be ashamed of the way she is running her business. Avoid at all costs unless you don’t mind having zero communication prior to court cases, incorrect information provided to you and just a complete lack of knowledge and/or support.
