Peter represented the person buying my home, and unfortunately he made the entire experience much more stressful than it needed to be. He does everything very late in the day, requiring other solicitors to get things over the line. He was also rude to other professionals and about people within the chain.

If you have a 1/2 transaction chain and aren’t in a hurry I’m sure that Peter is fine. Otherwise I’d recommend going with another solicitor.

Considering Peter charges total £150 per hour (more than most earn in a single day). He bills for every little thing he does, eg.

Charges total £15 for one sentence emails.
Charged total £15 for increasing my bill for the second time by a further £100.
He estimated work to cost £350. Final bill, I paid £630+VAT. even then all the work had not been completed.
He even told me I was lucky he didn't charge me for the last email when I complained about the fees.
