Appalling.
Nearly ten months later they are still failing to settle a will.
They persistently ignore emails and phone calls. When I finally got a reply, they were chasing me off the phone without a care in the world, but admitted 'short staffing' was an issue.
I will be moving to an Ombudsman complaint next week to attempt not only to get them to pay out the money they appear to be sitting on or not gathering in, but also to hand over information legally requested from them which they are ignoring/ghosting demands for.
I note another review from a month ago advising they were ghosted by them also.
When a private company starts ghosting calls and not paying out, it's a serious red flag.
Unprofessional, unacceptable and beyond infuriating to deal with.

Dreadful. My friend is trying to buy a house and chose Penman's to do the conveyancing. Worst decision ever. His solicitor is ghosting him?! It's over six months now for what should be a simple cash purchase with no chain. His solicitor doesn't respond to any of his attempts to contact her. If there's a problem they should be letting him know, not ignoring him Just wouldn't ever recommend this solicitors to anyone.

Recently used Penmans for Conveyancing on a house purchase. Working with solicitors on a daily basis on commercial properties, I'm used to the varying degrees of speed. Christie was amazing, incredibly efficient, I'd go as far as to say the woman is a machine. Christie managed to get me over the line within six weeks from being handed my purchase. I couldn't recommend her highly enough.

Very happy with the service we have received from Penmans and Christie in particular. We instructed Penmans as our normal solicitor was not an approved lender. We were a little worried using a new firm at first, but Christie made the whole process smooth and stress free. Her communication was excellent and we are particularly impressed at how she continued to push and chase all parties to get completion over the line. Philip Jones at Penmans was our solicitor for a recent property purchase.
We were kept informed at all times how our purchase was coming along and nothing was too much trouble to explain during the process as it was my first home purchase.
Very professional and has your back during the whole process.
I can’t imagine how Penmans have scored 1 star ratings in some of the reviews must be second best competitors ?

As an experienced buyer & seller of properties, dealing with this incompetent firm was far & away the worst I've come across. Lost documents, nearly jeopardised our purchase. More than happy to take your money however, at that they excel!
