So my x husband used Paul Ireland as his solicitor for our divorce ..im a lover not an hater, Paul as a very aggressive approach to things and he's not a very nice man.

During our last court case with a district judge ...Paul kept bringing up that I was an alcholic and substance misuse addict...I had to Google what substance misuse was because I had no idea.
It was a hearing for the financial part that's all..so why he felt the need to keep trying to berate me is beyond me.
Stay away he's a nasty awful person.

I knew what I needed from Paul Ireland for him to tell me what I was asking for would not be enough. Going on to tell me what I actually needed to do then plucked a number of £3000+ out of thin air. When all I wanted was a legal document.

Unfortunately, my experience with Paul Ireland has not been a good one. Paul was recommended through a friend to assist me with a custody application regarding contact with my daughters. Whilst I accept there were complexities within the case, I wholly believe that if I had used another solicitor, I would not be where I am today. During the time in which I was Paul Irelands client, I found it extremely difficult to get into contact with him. Several times I was promised call backs which were then not followed through, however I continued to give Paul a chance. At my first court appearance a replacement was sent on Pauls behalf, which I understand can sometimes happen, she was brilliant. However, during the 2nd appearance, Paul himself attended, he failed to contest anything, even though I myself had built him a dossier of evidence. Following the court’s decision, Paul and I discussed appealing the judge’s decision. I instructed Paul to go ahead and send the paperwork to the court. This must be completed within a certain timescale, in which Paul failed to do. I then tried several times to contact Paul, to no avail. In July, this year I contacted Paul Ireland solicitors to request copies of the case files and to get information regarding a related issue to the previous case. I was told that Paul would be in contact with me. Two days later I then received contact from Paul, in which to my shock he had spoken to the court regarding the new issue and resolved it, he then sent me a text message with a price despite the fact he had gone ahead without me instructing him to, in fact I had already contacted another solicitor regarding this. I followed this text message up with a request for the case files and asked for an explanation as to why he had never filed the appeal paperwork. It is now a month later and I am still yet to receive any contact from Paul. I have also rang his office for my paperwork and emailed them still no reply. In total I paid Paul over £6500 for him to put in very little effort, it was evident that he had taken on too much work and I was not one of his priorities.
