I have applied for a marriage certificate and they said we have no certificate for our marriage after 47 years together in am not getting any answers why can't I just go to th office and speak to someone 🙃 we can't get our state pension with out it 😤

I cannot stress enough how amazing the registrars are at Chadderton Town Hall. We had our wedding on Saturday 6th July and both ladies who looked after us were absolutely amazing. They made our day feel so special and stress free. From the moment we gave notice of marriage at Chadderton Town Hall our experience with the registrars has been wonderful! Everyone is really helpful and kind!

I can not thank the two lady’s who work on my wedding day 17th may . It’s a brides worst nightmare to be late but over an hour . With my mum so ill . I was worried sick . Shocked, shaking , nerves . The whole thing was a nightmare. But they sat me down try to calm me down they where so lovely and kind . And I can not thank them enough mr and Mrs Graham

We booked our wedding here and it was such a beautiful ceremony. They gave us a detailed form to fill out before to choose our readings and the man carried out the ceremony to perfection on the day. The building itself is beautiful inside and out and very well maintained. There were lots of photo opportunities. The booking team however made my life hell. Up till the last moment i was guessing if i had a ceremony booked or a 'appointment to give notice of marriage' they said one thing on the phone and emailed me another confirmation and other silly mistakes.

Went to register a death. Staff were kind. Registrar was helpful, efficient and sympathetic. (Only gripe is the fees charged for death certificates. £44 for 4 all printed at the same time. The fees are set by the Government, not by the local Registry.)

Got married here in 2013 registered my children here the place overall it is ok but on my wedding day felt like i was on a conveyobelt as other brides where waiting alongside me, was told dont frow confetti got bubbles instead came outside other brides where felt why tell us not too, we went for the green room small was great until got told too many people and some had to stand we did our own vows and it was a lovely day
