There's always someone available on the phone to talk to and emails are answered practically straight away.
Their communications with the other solicitors involved was prompt.
There was no need to keep chasing up Nairnseys, they were on top of everything.

Very mixed feelings with regards to my experience with NFL. Various delays from the sellers solicitors regarding my purchase which I cannot blame them for. I did not feel particularly supported by my caseworker, who I struggled to get hold of often. I was often promised call backs which did not happen, meaning follow up emails had to be sent. When I did get through, I was given very vague updates, and on one instance, told that I would incur additional charges for requesting updates. After a very tedious process, an exchange/completion date was set, and the process suddenly became incredibly rushed which felt overwhelming. I must say I had a very good experience with Fiki Akinremi who ensured to keep me in the loop in the final week.

I am a first-time buyer, and was hoping to be supported more by NFL. My original quote was almost doubled by completion date, with other costs incurred which came as a massive shock.

NFL made the buying process very easy and were always on hand to answer any queries when they came up. There were a few issues that arose throughout the process which NFL were quick to highlight, challenge and then resolve to ensure I did not inherit any issues.

We first used Nairnsey Fisher and Lewis back in 2020 and received a good service, so we decided to use them again for our house move in 2022, however this time we wished we hadn't. After not receiving a satisfactory resolution after firstly submitting a complaint directly to the firm, and then to the legal ombudsman, we have decided to leave this honest review. The service we received from NFL was appalling. It felt as if the firm had taken on too much work and had not enough resources to cope with the workload. On multiple occasions we received documents to sign that had been filled in with incorrect names instead of our actual buyer’s name. We were not kept updated throughout the process, and on many occasions things only progressed when we chased them. We ended up liaising directly with our sellers to resolve the queries between our solicitors in order to get completion done before our mortgage offer expired. I was asked 3 times to send them a document which NFL had stored in their "secure" storage facility from our previous purchase back in 2020, on all 3 occasions I informed them that I didn't have it, they did. Eventually we found out they had lost it, NFL didn't inform us, we were informed by a 3rd party who the firm had got in touch with to arrange a replacement. When it finally got to completion our bill included a lot of extra charges for extra work that the firm has never actually undertaken, nor had advised us of prior to sending us the bill. Moving house is a stressful enough process as it is and was made so much worse by incompetent conveyancers.
