Awful service. Unprofessional. Do not respond to calls and emails if you represent yourself. Incurred unnecessary costs at the best of times and still haven’t finalised my divorce after 4 years.

Absolutely shocking service and clearly poor staff management. We were warned and clearly should have listened!! Upon instructing, no word for six weeks to be told staff handling the file had not done it and had left so new person employed. Two weeks later, we were told that new employee was not experienced enough to wanting to even deal with the case.. not the stress you need when you are a first time buyer.

Alarming lack of governance.

I had to wait 3 days to collect my late mother's will, to then be told they didn't hold it. I then had to do my own further investigations so I could TELL THEM which one of THEIR SOLICITORS compiled the will. They then unsurprisingly discovered that they did indeed hold her will.

When I collected it they took copies of my ID, and then asked me to sign a release paper with my mother's surname on and not mine.

I originally decided to use Mustoe and Shorter because I wanted to use a local solicitor. I ended up with a solicitor from northumberland 400 miles away (I was living and buying a house in Dorset). The solicitor only worked three days a week Mustoe Shorter did not tell me about this (I was told by the estate agents). I even had to ring them up to ask why they had not sent me any paperwork after four weeks of employing them.
Even though the staff were friendly I found getting information difficult and have decided never to use them again.

Avoid like the plague. If you are looking for a team that will deal with you effectively and efficiently then look further. However, if you are seeking a team that will consistently loose critical information, forget to inform you of progress, be rude when you ask for progress updates and show a general level of incompetency, then these are the teams for you!

Response time was awful (we had to copy in a colleague to shame her into a response , but it was her attitude which was the most upsetting thing. Curt, mistrustful, disrespectful - we certainly would not countenance using them ourselves.
