Would give a 0 if I could! No communication, continual chasing but don’t hear back. Told everything would be complete on a certain date, turned up to the house to be told their solicitors had not heard from ours. AVOID!

Knowledgeable and reasonable price however communication is appalling so bad they didn't tell me of my moving date till 9pm the night before and only because I rang them and asked them ... Which meant I had to hire the movers at 10pm and paid over the odds for short notice..due to inept organisation on Mundys end. Constantly badgering them for updates they will not ring you Ever!!!

First time buyers so unsure of process or how long anything takes usually but I think Mundy's certainly made the process more stressful.
Communication was okay at first and was originally told they would be able to accept forms signed electronically etc but no everything had to be printed and posted which cost a lot. They're in the dark ages still.
Communication really slowed down. We had to do a lot of chasing and checking of documents. They got information wrong with names, amounts of money etc. Then they made a complete oversight during the purchase (which it looks like happened to other people in their reviews so not sure why they aren't learning from mistakes) and stopped communicating which was extremely stressful. Had to get the legal ombudsman involved which has also taken 6 months to get any resolution, although still not completely satisfied with their resolution but I just want them out of my hair now. Avoid! Wouldn't recommend to anyone.

Can be difficult to contact them before 9 o’clock and during lunch hours but I suppose this is expected as most solicitors start work at 9 o’clock and have lunch between 1&2 I must say the service is excellent and vey much appreciated

Genuinely terrible solicitors. First time buyer, and very much learning the whole experience. They were aware of this, and yet still kept myself and my partner in the dark constantly about what was going on. Every single time they requested something of us, we had it back to them either same day or the next, but I had to chase them on every single step of the way to make sure they actually did their job. I hated working with this solicitors so very much that i was determined to write this review about them. I managed to buy my apartment within 10 weeks, but it's because we called and pestered them every week for progress updates.
They asked that we send through physical paperwork twice because the first didn't arrive (admittedly maybe due to postage strikes). We did, and that was 2 weeks ago. However, I haven't heard a single thing to say they've received anything at all. Who knows if it arrived or not?
We almost missed our completion date with an hour to spare because of sheer incompetence.
We already had to delay our completion due to sellers issues, but Mundy's just forgot to tell the bank. So we were left very confused when we had an email on our original completion date, saying "Congratulations on your completion" from our mortgage lender?
Every day they completely close and everyone leaves the office at 1pm until 2pm for lunch. I sent an email at 1.50pm asking for Mundy's to call the sellers solicitors because no one could get ahold of them, and immediately five minutes after lunch break, they said completion would be done within the next few minutes. And it was. They sent the money through in the morning and left it at that. They didn't tell us at all that completion had finished, instead, hearing it from the estate agent, with no closing phone call, or letter or anything from them. They left it so close to the banking end of day that it would have been delayed again until the next day.
I really really hated this company. I am so very glad to have to never ever speak to them again. Absolutely dreadful. Please please never work with this solicitor. We were so sure they miscalculated their bill as well, but we were just so very tired having to deal with them that we couldn't be bothered to fight it anymore.
They work as a subsidiary of Homeward Legal. If Homeward legal ever pass you onto Mundy's, to be your solicitor; refuse. Ask to be passed on to another one. Trust me.

EDIT 5 MONTHS LATER: After moving into the property, Mundy's sends my partner and I an email asking for £594 to complete registration with the management company of the covenant our apartment is a member of. No warning at all and not indication.
I spoke to the management company directly and they advised me that Mundy's should have told us about this on the completion date, not now, 5 months later. This means that for the entire time we have been living at our property, the management company still believes the previous owners are living there.
They even spelt my name incorrectly on the email.

Once again, I cannot beg you enough to find a different solicitor. Do not use Mundy's at all. Just don't.

Absolutely NOT recommending this firm , please run away … !

I wish I could give them negative star .

1. Terrible /poor customer service
2. Keep lying to customers and misuse people’s trust
3. Be careful , this firm can put you in a huge trouble
4. Unprofessional behaviour
5. Solicitor has no direct line and we never had any chance to communicate to him directly after 4 months
6. They don’t bother themselves to reply to any single email neither to other party’s solicitor or agent
7. They will waste your time and money
8. Help desk is rude and threating people on the telephone
9. Show no respect for client
10. If you complain about their rubbish service , it makes them upset !
11. Not easy to call them , you have to wait minimum 2-3 hours , from 10-12 you can call , them from 12-14:00 pm they are at lunch and afterwards no one is available to answer you call.
12. They are slow
13. Not a decent/ professional/ responsible/ sharp solicitor you would expect , instead cheap / doggy
14. They claim firm is busy , yet there is only one solicitor in there

-We were in sale process of a flat and everything for this flat was straightforward , yet this firm failed to finalise this matter after 4 months . (Leasehold flat with no problem)
-They claimed after for months ready to exchange , however, after 4 months figured out they didn’t even the contract to other solicitor .
-Never ever replied to seller’s solicitor .
They do not know how to extend the lease .

If you want to avoid pressure , stress and anxiety please avoid them.
Even if it’s for free do not choose this firm , I doubt if you call this a real firm by the way .
I cannot put it in word how disappointed ….

Avoid if your looking for conveyancing and pray to God if a vendor in your chain uses them.

I'm just thankful we didn't use them and have to pay their fees. Sadly our seller did. We were in a simple small chain of just 3 parties which started end of June and we have only just completed 5 months later!

Started off OK, then when we got to general enquiries they disappeared for 6 weeks. Not a single reply to any e-mail from our solicitor. 6 weeks! This was at a time where we had plenty of time to complete before the stamp duty holiday ended at the end of September, which subsequently cost us £1,500.

When they finally replied to enquires, they seemed to avoid a remaining few which went on for weeks. Slowly replying to an enquiry, 1 at a time then asking if ready to exchange and complete, repeat this about 4 or 5 times over more weeks.

Our solicitor and Connells did most of their work for them to desperately speed things up. Both had never seen incompetence like it.

A completion date was agreed by all parties 24th Nov (not through Mundys of course as you couldn't get a reply) When it finally came to exchange once again our solicitor and Connells couldn't get in touch with them, this continued for days until they finally picked up the phone on the 22nd.

I hope they read this and understand how much additional stress, anxiety and money they add to an already stressful process. I can only assume they take on too many clients due to such cheap fees. I don't know how they get away with it.

Shocking firm!

Wish I could give 0 stars
There was no communication whatsoever apart from when they required money and when my buyers pulled out they didn't even notify me and still have not replied to any contact since September!!
Also must say that this firm was allocated to me by Homeward Legal who I would also avoid at all costs
