I stopped here for a break on my travels. Nice services it has got plenty of room to park . I saw some electrical points to charge cars which great. You've got all the normal shops inside burger 🍔 King Costa etc . The staff I spoken to were very helpful and friendly. Toilets 🚻 were clean as well as the shower 🚿 I've had worse lol . I use this services alot when I'm up this way for me it's nice and quiet 🤫.

Services at time, HGV parking, and road infrastructure were in the process of being resurfaced (about time).

Stopped over for the night, visit WH Smiths to get the Snap receipt and pay for the meal voucher. The lady who served me was brilliant and had a friendly open approach to talk to. Made the visit feel welcome.

The only downside was Burger King. Can't leave a bad review for Moto despite Southbound having a location for Burger King. However, if I could get a photo of them wanting to leave reviews on Google maps. This would be it.

So, if not aware already for HGV/LGV's. You can only apply 1 out of the 2 vouchers when using the screens. Which I wasn't 100% sure at the time. Prior to approaching the counter. Member of BK walked past me. Waiting a few minutes to be seen was a little confusing. Since I was the only person there. Wouldn't even think it was open. I had to whistle to get someone's attention a little embarrassing. Overheard member of staff mentioned that someone else, presume the girl prior had walked out and not say anything shows they aren't a team player.
Didn't have to wait long, 4-5 minutes, which was good, but then realised the fries where Luke was warm. Which had to throw in me microwave to reheat. Burger, I actually enjoyed it. Whopper XL with cheese. Made up for the missing staff and disappointed fries. But one thing I was surprised was they had Ice. Rare to come across a place that had a working ice machine.

As a truck driver I used these services often until the refurbishment of the HGV parking area. Looks pretty but whoever designed the bays and distances to turn into a bay doesn't drive an articulated truck for a living !! Far too tight, not enough distance between bays & bays at wrong angle for making a SAFE exit without damaging the truck next to you with your tailswing. Trucks are now having to leave a space next to them in order to safely park. There are going to be accidents here. If you value your truck - then park at another services. Will be avoiding this services in the future.

My review is for the Burger King,
For late on a Friday night it was the best I have had in along time, it was all cooked fresh and piping hot.
The guy who served us was outstanding, didn’t catch his name but, he was so polite and friendly he actually cared about his job and his customers. This is an absolute rarity nowadays.

Great bank of fast chargers. Southbound and northbound. Not great as a food stop, Greg's, Costa and Burger something. Usual super unhealthy junk.
But great for charging

Dawn, Debbie and Daniela were absolutely fantastic and they were so good at customer service and they helped us out so much from finding our way in to even helping us picking out our items. Daniela made our coffees and they were delicious. These 3 women are a credit to their jobs and they were amazing thank you ladies

Dreadful ,, I work nights and have stopped and filled up with diesel 3 times in 5 days .. I have asked the fuel station attendant 3 times for a coffe and been told 3 times the machine is being cleaned ..
you can clearly see it’s not , and the attendant just can’t be bothered ..
tiredness can kill , take a break ..
just don’t ask us to make you a coffee

Visited recently on a Friday evening. All that was lacking was tumblweed. Burger king must have been out of burgers as it was only selling chicken - I honestly thought we'd walked into a Wes Anderson movie.
That said the staff were lovely & the premises clean, just don't go for the atmosphere.
