Avoid at all costs!

Maxlaw, previously known as Reliance Solicitors; which they have now closed down; is the most unprofessional and incompetent law firm I have come across.

This firm has cost me approximately £30k in costs and damages.

After 3 years of not responding to my calls or emails, my hearing date was approaching to which they were not even aware of, I had to bring this to their attention.

They instructed a barrister 2 days before the hearing, of which they profited from as the cost was extortionate at £3k, they did not allow me to speak with the barrister to discuss the case and my case was thrown out; costing me a further £15k in third party lawyer costs.

They have not followed up with the case although they have been paid to do so and refuse to provide invoices for payments made to them.

The firm is an absolute shambles. They hire low paid staff and have a few solicitors who are just as useless and are unable to do basics things such as communicate.

They call you into their office and make you wait whilst they have cigarette breaks and whatever is discussed on the day is never followed through with.

If you have a serious issue I would highly advise seeking legal advice from a proper law firm.

This law firm is only appealing to the Asian community who have language barriers and they take advantage of this.

I wonder how long until this firm is also closed down and eventually the Director struck off the register.
