Frustrating and hard work.
I often felt I had to push to progress things.

When we signed up with Lynwood we were given two names and told they would be responsible for our sale and purchase, the names changed many times. Some changes were notified to us in advance others were out of the blue, one was due to someone leaving - no reason given. We had one purchase fall through which extended our time with Lynwood, but this doesn't explain the multiple changes of named individuals responsible for our account.

When I called I was never able to speak to any them there and then, it was always the front desk of the serviced offices they rented who answered, took messages and said they would ask Lynwood to call me back - sometimes they did, often days later, and sometimes they didn't! Similarly emails, no matter how minor, were rarely answered the same day.

They happily took thousands of pounds from me in several instalments but when it came to returning £78 they overcharged me I had to jump through hoops for security reasons. Why they couldn't simply return the money to the same account they received it from I don't know, apparently its not their policy to do so.

Compared to the firm we used to sell the Mother In Law's property at the same time Lynwood's performance was very poor.

Chloe and Kavitha were amazing from start to finish of our journey, we had extremely difficult buyers but Chloe was great keeping things moving. We decided to sell chain free, so our purchase was performed separately a few months after our sale, and there were no questions whether we were going to use Lynwood again.
Throughout they were amazing, informative and a pleasure to deal with. Luckily we were buying a chain free property also, so it was a stress free and pleasant experience, very different from our sale!
I will send everyone who asks to Lynwood and should we decide to do this again in the future, they will be the first call I make.

Wasted time when it took them a month to tell us that they cannot take us in because we either are not British passport or ILR holders. We told them on two separate occasions we have pre-settled EU scheme status. We signed the care letter, transferred the money for the payment on account and been in touch with them from time to time for the progress. We've provided all the initial documents they required (bank statements, payslips, proof of residence, etc) which is heavily time consuming. This took a month or so before they told us they cannot take us in, and will be referring us to a different solicitor which by the way charges a lot more than Lynwood. It's disappointing because we spent a lot of time providing them the documents, paid the payment on account, communicated to them we have pre-settled EU scheme status, only to tell us they cannot take us in, and we were clear to them we wanted to exchange the contracts sooner so we cannot afford any unnecessary delays. And then we were told that we should be acknowledging the fact they they did not charge us for the search fee, when on my point of view, we could've saved time, energy and cost had they told us early on that they cannot take our case in. What a huge disappointment!
