If it was possible to give NO STARS - I would, Absolutely the worst Borough Council ever, Impossible to get through to a person - done deliberately I’m sure! When you email the capita address it tells you you will receive a reply within 10 days, I’ve been waiting 2 months ! On the rare occasion you do get through to a person I’ve had a woman cut me off because her cat was being sick, she was obviously working from home then another time I could clearly hear the television in the background and the woman was eating her lunch whilst dealing with my query and another time I could hear a baby crying in the background, I think Ive only ever got through to one helpful person called Craig !

It worries me deeply to think of an elderly person trying to sort something out or person person with learning disabilities, neither would stand any chance and the council is just full of rude arrogant and dismissive advisers (Apart from a very small percentage, if you are lucky enough to get that person when you finally get through) absolutely dreadful ?

worse council i have ever experienced in my life!! but yet the council tax goes up every year! we pay over £216 a month for what! dirty street, a lack of communication with the council. I have never seen anyone sweep the street, any form of machine to clean any part of the area. The roads are always dirty, the council is constantly digging up the same main roads, which causes so much traffic, the roads are dug up and closed off on a monthly basis! i am moving out of area due to the disgusting state and high council tax. If i saw some sort of improvement in the area i would understand the reason behind the high council but the area is honestly the dirtiest area i have ever seen! i went as far as to take pictures and send to our local MP, he was even more udsless that the council! you get NO HELP FROM ANYONE!!!

You cannot trust Bexley council to do somethings in the right way and when you let them know of their extremely bad ways they just let them carry on. Because someone I know sold his house to the council over twenty years and he is still allowed to live in the same house and he hasn’t paid rent and council tax for the last twenty years. Also they are allowing two people who we know to stay in private care homes at a massive discount because Bexley council are paying the rest.
Those two own half of their homes.
And when we’ve made some complaints it’s made no difference at all.
Bexley council should be ashamed of themselves. I would give them no stars if I could.

Would give zero stars if I could.

They fail on a weekly basis to do basic things, such as collect bins and have zero communication or oversight over their contractors.

It's perhaps the number 1 service the council provides to everyone for their rising council tax, and easily the worst thing they perform at.

Ever seen a road sweeper or litter picker in the borough? Me neither. Ever seen a council led community program anywhere? Me neither.

Little wonder as its run (into the ground) by unremarkable and unimaginative Conservatives who have sold off the silverware in return for providing little oversight or net benefit to the borough's residents.

The 30 year lease with no break clause for poor service given to Parkwood to run the leisure centres is perhaps one of the most shocking examples. The borough's residents paid to build the leisure centres, and after 20 years they are completely disgusting with no changes or improvements made

The way Crayford library has been run into the ground with zero new books or community outreach programs is also another. I mean who allows a Post Office/Shop to operate inside a library?! It's utter chaos in there.

Pot holes on every road corner, urine infested unsafe overpriced car parks, homeless people on the streets seen like never before, not enough new housing, children's parks that haven't been upgraded in years, dangerous bike lanes that lead nowhere, little to no road safety improvement's, the worst unsociable behaviour in Bexleyheath town centre there has ever been (right under their noses) and lets not forget the monstrosity that is the roundabout outside the council offices - I mean who signed off on that merry go round of traffic management chaos. The list goes on.

It's a zombie council, run by zombies who when alive were likely pen pushing plebs with 4 GCSE's between them.

Amazing job done by Riney who completed my dropped kerb. Tom and George very professional and friendly.
Left site very clean and tidy and very prompt clearing barriers away.

Absolutely painful phone call to bexley council just now, I collected a huge bag of rubbish from an alleyway and placed it next to a public bin, phoned bexley council waste team to ask if they would send somebody to collect it, firstly they didn’t even seem to know where the public bin was even though it gets emptied in the week by them. Had to look on google earth to find the bin!

Then asked if the bin was full when I said no they asked me to empty the bag and put it in the bin! So fill the bin back up so people can continue dumping their litter on the floor

I feel that this is a very awkward, difficult, stress provoking and triggering council to deal with. Few promises have been kept, but only that, really.

I feel very uncomfortable with how things operate, function, and run. All online, pretty much it's very sad, annoying, frustrating, and infuriating.

Some people I've spoken to have sounded/seemed pleasant and decent enough. They seemed to have tried their best to deal with me when I have been stressing/wigging out via email.

(The complaints department that is do there's that partial credit where it's due.)

More I feel can be done to significantly and majorly improve the inclusion of non-traditional existing folk such as non-binary/nonconforming/non cisgender folk such as myself, like staff training ...

(Some have assumed they can call me this or that... the wrong thing based on the sound of my voice, I feel, but this is why I mentioned improvement needed)

And to make Mx as a proper accessible title option.

3 stars overall. Garden waste collection is pretty good - you pay around £50 a year and they will attempt to collect it every 2 weeks. Mine has been standing outside waiting to be collected for 5 months but I’m pretty sure they will manage to collect it eventually! I’ve spoken to management numerous times and they are confident it will be collected one day.
