An incredible service offered by Liquid Expat Mortgages. David Mowatt totally 'saved my life' with the practical advice and guidance he gave me. He called me within 10 mins of me uploading my details and immediately started to give ideas on what I could try. He then even suggested contacting my existing provider and asking for a 6 Month Payment holiday - which they then granted!

The first time I used them, they were amazing. The second time (2024) they were absolutely atrocious: they filled out forms incorrectly and sent to the lender; I had to deal with the lender directly myself; they essentially abandoned me to have to deal with a dog and pony solicitors. The only thing liquid were quick at was charging their broker fee. PLEASE BE WARNED; the company ain’t what it used to be. I am essentially 500gbp out of pocket with no new mortgage product; 400 for liquid’s fee; and 90+ from the dog and pony solicitors that the lender (huge retail bank) appointed.

We were very happy with Liquid Expat Mortgages. After living in Spain and hoping to buy a U.K. property we were advised by most that we wouldn’t qualify for a U.K. mortgage. Never the less LEM said they could help and we were supported from start to finish with a good mortgage offer on the table. Liam and Claire were fantastic throughout the whole experience and never hesitated to offer advice and support as we needed. We can’t thank them enough for all their help and time spent with us even to the end where Claire was helping our solicitor to ensure all would go through on completion day with the lender. A really great experience working with these guys, especially Nicole who was our mortgage coordinator from the start of the process. A very personal touch and she was very reassuring (but thoroughly professional!) throughout. Excellent communication and our firm mortgage offer came through even quicker than expected! From start to finish, the process was made easy by Phil, Claire and Liam. Everything is communicated very clearly - deadlines, requirements etc - and so no nasty surprises along the way. Advice given is sound and there is no hard selling. There is frequent communication at each stage of the process. In short, the process of acquiring an expat mortgage can be quite tricky and frustrating. But with the clearly experienced team at Liquid Expat, the process was made easy!
